Exactly, it wasn't like he ran nothing but go routes. Its rare you see people get walked down in the NFL without an angle because that split second where the DB is out of position is long enough that you can't recover against a guy that was running where he was supposed to be all along.

smh at any team that drafts him in the first 3 rounds. I was just reading an article where he compared himself to Kaep and Russ Wilson. Anyone who has watched EJ and those two play. Know he is NOTHING like those two guys. Those two guys are willing runners. EJ is too scared to use his athletic abilties or at least refused to use it at FSU.
Furthermore, he can't run the zone read like they do. He always makes the wrong read. Kaep and Russ are very smart qbs. EJ is not.
qb class is weak as hell so it was a matter of time before someone gets gassed.

majority of prolific receivers dont have 4.2- low 4.4 speed.
welker, boldin, fitz, marshall, dez, bowe...all clocked at 4.5+
40 yard time is one of the most overrated metric to measure football players

We wanted the kid to do well and his numbers look decent but the guy just didn't have it when he was at FSU. Dude never took the next step he should've dominated the ACC schools but his thinking at times was
He gave away the game vs NC State with poor throws,terrible reads and taking a terrible sack that forced FSU to punt instead of taking a clinching FG (Jimbo still should've let Hopkins try) that pretty much ruined the rest of the season. EJ played his best when the offense was more uptempo and he wasn't afraid to take off and run.
If you wanna see a typical EJ play that pissed FSU fans off watch the play vs Florida where EJ was unsure if he wanted to take off and run. By the time he committed he got his head taken off and fumbled the momentum to UF.

How many successful runningbacks out there running a 4.8? Not many. If I'm taking a running back, he better be quicker than a lineman/linebacker
