I think we all remember last time Mizzou got ranked this high...it was 2007 aka the year of fukkery

just know this don't happen too often...a top 5 ranking for my Tigers can only mean one thing...this is about to be one of THOSE years where all kinds of shyt happens.

and I still think it's waaaaaaaay too early to start paying attention to rankings...so many highly ranked teams still have the meat of their schedule left...and so many teams that everyone is saying have too many losses right now have already played their toughest games...at this point I think Bama, Oregon, FSU have clearly separated from the pack...but all three still have some legit games left on their schedule...shyt Oregon's three toughest games are still in front of them...Bama's still got LSU and the Iron Bowl out there...FSU still has Miami and there will be at least one game this year where Winston makes a couple mistakes and they have to overcome it because nobody's perfect

teams like Baylor, Mizzou, Texas Tech, Miami might be undefeated but their toughest tests are still out there as well

I'm just ready for the fukkery and I'm going to enjoy all the rage the BCS is going to create...feels like there's going to be some real flukey rankings in this first BCS poll

Montgomery, Alabama
Week 9 lines

  • Mississippi St. opens as a 10 pt favorite over Kentucky
  • After being taken to the woodshed for everyone and they momma to see, the Clemson Tigers go to Maryland as a 13 pt favorite.
  • VaTech is a 13.5pt favorite over Duke
  • No line on the TAMU-Vandy game yet due to uncertainty of Manziel's availability as well as Vandy QB Austyn Carter-Samuels being ruled OUT
  • Auburn is a 28 point favorite over Florida Atlantic
  • Alabama is a 28 point favorite over Tennessee
  • In the Pac-12's game of the week, after taking it on the chin from Stanford and suffering their first loss of the season, the UCLA Bruins go to Eugene to face the Oregon Ducks as a 21 pt underdog
  • After losing a game to Notre Dame that I honestly forgot was even being played, USC goes back home as a 6 pt favorite over Utah
  • No line yet for Cal @ Washington because of Keith Price's questionable status
  • Miami (FL) is a 23 pt favorite over Wake Forest
  • Florida St. is a 28 pt favorite over NC State
  • Oklahoma is a 7 pt favorite over the undefeated Texas Tech Red Raiders (bang bang!)
  • And for unknown, but yet perhaps obvious, reasons, Texas is a 3 pt underdog at TCU
  • Stanford is a 6.5 pt favorite over Oregon St.
  • No line for Notre Dame & Air Force because its unknown who ND's QB will be. Probably doesn't matter
  • Ole Miss is favored by 40 over Idaho
  • As stated in a previous thread, Conner Shaw is more than likely out for South Carolina vs. Mizzou, with what seems to be a serious knee injury. So there is no line for that game yet
  • In a replay of a matchup that means a lot to all of us Bama fans , Oklahoma St. is a 17 pt favorite at Iowa St.
  • Baylor is favored by 35.5 at Kansas
  • Louisville goes to South Florida as a 21 pt favorite
  • Ohio St. is favored by 14.5 at home vs. Penn State
  • And finally, LSU is favored by 47 over Furman
