Deng with Wall and Beal would be a nice trio. Maybe could get ya'll into the second round. I'd do that trade.
It's a waste to give up assets for him to rent to just get to the 2nd round when they can just sign him in the offseason if they really want him

Ernie Grunfeld is an idiot. He could have drafted Deng in 2004 instead of trading the 5th pick (Devin Harris) for Antawn Jamison on a max contract :mindblown: Besides, we can sign Deng this offseason if they really want him THAT bad...

Ariza is giving the Wizards better production from 3 point land and also averaging 2 steals. Deng is an expiring just as Ariza is.

The SF position is not a weakness in Washington. Backup PG and PF is the problem. Nene should come off the bench and play against 2nd units to raise his efficiency IMO.

Spencer Hawes is fukking :trash: I know Sixers fans are happy to see him gone just like I was happy to see him leave when the Kings got rid of his bum ass.

Kings definitely need to trade Jimmer for the sake of his career. They mentioned not living up to the hype. It's hard to live up to any hype when you were never given a fair chance since you were drafted. Westphal, Smart, and Malone all have fukked with his minutes. Jimmer never got a chance to learn and play thru his mistakes. Whenever he would show signs of being good, he'd be buried on the bench. Can't wait to see him go somewhere else and be a solid contributor. His jump shot is too good not to.

no 2nd round picks are worthless. other than being bodies to stick at the end of the bench, there's only 1 or 2 each draft that even become productive players let alone starters.

it's still an asset that can yield great results if used properly. they are only worthless to those who don't know how to scout.

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
What's the point of getting 2nd round picks doe?

It's good for a team like Philly that needs to get young cheap talent that they can develop. Those two 2nd round picks will be at the top part of the second round.

The Cavs don't need anymore youth. They've already got like 5 rookies on the roster as is.

Chandler parsons, genobli, Isiah Thomas jr. Let's not actike u can't find diamonds in the rough In The second round. I wouldn't have done that deal but its still valuable

Paul Millsap, even Andray Blatche, Kyle Korver, Draymond Green, Jae Crowder, Dejuan Blair, Scola, Mo Williams, Gortat, M. Gasol, Varejao, Marcus Thornton...

fukk we can't get more than a 2nd for ET?

#2 pick 4 years ago :snoop:

At least get some young players, we gonna have 6 2nd rounders next year

Well damn.

I'm curious to how the top 3 would shape up had that draft happened today

My guess

1. Wall
2. George
3. Cousins

There's a number of various combinations

Bledsoe and Hayward would go 4 and 5

Turner at best would go 6

no. the nba draft ain't like the nfl where you can find gems in later rounds. all the elite players in the league were high first round picks (most in the top 5-10). most productive players are also first round picks. even with the best scouting department there are only 2-3 guys each year in the second round that'll be something more than 12th men on the end of the bench.

just look at the second rounds of the last couple of drafts. maybe one or two names each years are guys that are worthy of beings "assets". everyone else is just another name that teams recycle.

If you give up Hawes for 2 2nd round picks, that's one thing. But if you are also going to send Turner for a 2nd rounder, I think that is an inane amount of picks at that point (Philly had 2 2nd round picks before the Hawes trade at least)
