Trading Smith for a salary dump is a get out of jail free card, dude is gonna lose his job for keeping Smith when they miss the playoffs regardless. The Cavs are gonna take the Hawks spot, Pistons will continue to flounder with or without Smith, but at least moving him improves their future.

Just look at all the guys being moved right now for 2nd Rounders. Philly going to have all kinds of flexibility on draft night to get even more assets and players. Sixer fans should be in for a treat this draft
