Most teams schedule visits for big rival games, night games, homecoming, etc...not week one shyt..not neutral field games...

Baylor has no home games wortha damn this year, so they scheduled it week one vs an instate school

Basically, they locked up this weekend because nobody wanted to invite kids to this weeks games lol

But, inviting recruits to a NEW stadium is mighty impressive. And even I must admit that stadium looks amazing, it's got the "cool" factor. The boats on the river, the facilities, etc.

The only disadvantage might be being the first visit so early in the year, the kid might forget after visiting several other schools.

B/R wrote an article about why the Big 12 should invite North Dakota State, and it actually makes sense

I didn't read the article, but A. NDSU already proved they can at least beat the middle tier B12 schools, they're arguably the best division two school, and they're in a state I think the Big 12 doesnt currently cover. Plus B12 doesn't even have a conference championship so it works out

and if all else fails, at least they tried
