In 2009, Bama had one of the most dominant teams of all time, as much as it pains me to say such a thing. Alabama may not have the best team (meaning overall) in their state. That defense wasn't 2011 level (probably because 2009 faced better teams) but it looks leaps and bounds better than 2014's so far. The rhetoric you're mentioning probably has more to deal with the increasing amount of games the standard Alabama QB has had to win, and the fact that Blake Sims doesn't seem like a game winner. In 2009, he would've been great, probably better than McElroy, 2011 sure, 2013 maybe, you think son gonna be able to go score for score with Kenny Hill and Nick Marshall though?
Saban has never been one to give into pressure but I think he's gonna fukk around and give Coker a chance against one of these SEC opponents and end up getting a L. Coker isn't exactly the future, but he still has two years which gives the staff at least a full year to teach Cornwell and some of those other QB recruits.I think Sims will gel later on in the season (granted we don't fukk up by playing both Sims & Coker), now while Sims isn't the athlete Marshall is, remember Marshall didn't gel until the A&M game. So, we'll see
This is going to bother him all season. I'm not convinced he's truly day-to-day. Tough day for Big 12 QBs. Baylor at least has a plug and play system to their advantage.So he basically broke his back....spinal.
That's pretty scary actually. Briles should've took him out before that last TD b/c he took a hard hit on that play.
