NYC (but PGH will forever be home)
I would love to add Martavis Bryant from Clemson (6'4, and runs a 4.42 :noah:) or Jordan Matthews from Vanderbilt....

That would be the perfect draft for us-

Dennard/Gilbert in the 1st & Bryant/Matthews in the 2nd.

Its looking more and more like a possibility :obama:.

And we dont have to goto the west coast?:gladbron:

How do we feel about Jarvis Landry in the 2nd or 3rd?

5 ft 11, 205 LBS

Catches everything

I like him alot as a player. I just think the Steelers need to draft a WR with some size, they already have 7 guys listed as 6'0 & under

If he's there in the 3rd I'd snatch him up. Physical WR with great hands. That drop rate:noah:

 at Bryant's drop rate. We already got a big receiver with high drop rate in Heyward-Bey, it wouldn't be too wise to get another IMO. Might mess around, scoop him & he'll be the next Limas Sweed smh

I would prefer Jordan Matthews, but if he's already gone, I'll take the chance on Martavis Bryant if he's there in 2nd/3rd. He's too explosive, and that size/speed combo is too good to pass-up. Donte Moncrief from Mississippi or Brandon Coleman from Rutgers would be nice too. :manny:

Speaking of Sweed, I've never seen anything like him in my lifetime. He could run routes well, block well, beat the defender down-field...just couldn't catch:mindblown:

....this is a good read on him if you have the time. LINK

Sean Spence 100% healthy is huge news I really hope he can get on the field this year I think theres a ton of potential there that might mean Shazier is off our boards ?

I honestly don't know what to expect in the first round.

What I DO know is that the Steelers aren't gonna take a WR or TE unless they see that player being a top 10 guy in the league. They aren't gonna touch Ebron unless they see him being a top 3-5 Jimmy Graham or something . Same with Beckham,Benjamin etc. unless the Steelers they are a come in dominate the position we arent gonna even look at them.

Theres a lot of hype to draft CB but damn there is soooo many. Im hearing a ton about Dennard but theres 3-4 other good CBs that are options we really won't know whos actually the best until we see what happens in the draft. Then theres always a shot at picking DL,OL,OLB in the first too. I'm seeing a Anthony Barr mentioned the last few days honestly I dont like what I've heard about him but if we pick him at 15 I'll be happy. I trust Tomlin/Colbert 100%.

Good post @KiD WavE :salute:

I see them going CB in the 1st, everything seems to be pointing that way. It's just a matter of taking who's available between Darqueze Dennard/Justin Gilbert/Kyle Fuller at 15, or trading back a few selections collecting extra picks & taking who's still available from that group. I don't see them trading down past the 19th selection though, Kevin Colbert mentioned many times in their pre-draft news conference that he thinks there's 19 players he would feel comfortable selecting.

I think the WR depth is too strong in this draft to warrant taking one in the 1st, unless Watkins/Evans fall & that's extremely unrealistic. There's no need to draft Eric Ebron either, that's filling more of a luxury than a need. They still have Heath for at least 3-4 more productive years & when his time is up then you can address the position. With the exception of a handful of guys across the league, TE isn't a major factor.

R.I.P Bill Nunn Jr:to:

Bill Nunn Jr., longtime Steelers scout, dies at 89 - Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
William G. Nunn Jr., the former managing editor of the Pittsburgh Courier who became the first African-American appointed to a front-office position with the Steelers, died today. He was 89.

Mr. Nunn worked for the Steelers for 46 years and is best known for discovering overlooked players from historically black colleges that became Super Bowl champions with the Steelers. As one of the longest tenured employees of the Steelers, Mr. Nunn also holds the distinction of being one of a select few in the organization with six Super Bowl rings.

He suffered a stroke two weeks ago while working on the upcoming NFL Draft at the Steelers' facility on the South Side.

Im gonna start off by saying Im a biased OSU fan ....

Im really happy about the pick and Shazier is an athletic freak, hard worker, and leader THE prototipical kind of guy you want in the NFL but I'm just not sure who he is replacing ...is Timmons on the way out or....... ?

I can't see him being anything but an ILB in our defense unless theres something crazy here going on like turning Shazier into a safety ...... and we actually have a young ILB in Vince Williams who showed a lot of promise last season plus Lawrence Timmons. Not sure if Timmons is on his way out or if they just feel Shazier is that much better than Williams. Even just got the good news that Sean Spence is finally 100% healthy.

end of the day I'm super happy and I think its obvious why Shazier will be a successful LB in todays passing NFL

I'll take your word for it breh. It just seems like a pick out of left field. Didn't even hear much buzz about us being interested in him. I wonder if we could have traded back and still have him on the board
