Yeah, if anything they're much more worried. nikkaz is tired of playing America's little games. As far as I'm concerned anything that's got this govt's hands on it 9/10 times comes with huge strings attached. The best export America can bring Africa at this point is it's diaspora meaning the recent one and the older, involuntary diaspora. It's too much fukk shyt this country has supported geopolitically in Africa for me to feel good about their sudden insecurities when watching China take the lead in African investment.

If Obama was smart he'd talk in particular to Black entrepreneurs about pursuing a relationship with the continent. But I'm sure he'd rather talk down to them and give em bootstrap speeches instead so :ehh:

I said in another thread that linking unemployed, skilled Black American with African governments, businesses would be a bigger achievement than what this summit has brought so far. Make it an expansion on "My Brother's Keeper" or something :ohhh:

If Obama was smart he'd talk in particular to Black entrepreneurs about pursuing a relationship with the continent to build real trust. But I'm sure he'd rather talk down to them and give em bootstrap speeches instead so :ehh:
the US and China do business differently though so they'd have to conform to our way of life.

China doesn't care about greasing palms. Thats completely against the USA ethos

There are basic infrastructure and customary practices that the US just doesn't deal with and that has to be addressed.

The way I see it the shyt would work like a charm if it were a mutual investments thing. Wealthy entrepreneurs in Africa can put money into Black cities like Detroit, Philly, etc and bring in jobs through businesses, revitalize neighborhoods for the residents and any future migrants to America from respective African countries, perhaps even buy industrial properties like factories and such to have an overseas place to produce finished products with African resources while Black entrepreneurs in America can help with construction, infrastructure, healthcare, and education. Basically each side gives the other what it needs. I don't think Africa or African Americans need to lick uncle sam's boot to get on in the game.

And that's why America will lag behind. Put it to you like this, there's more than enough blood on this country's hands and dirt on this country's name to make their whole paternalistic talking down to schtick towards African nations ring hollow. Do business first and let developments come after, because this country only plays nice when it benefits them for more reasons than economical rather than just breaking bread on a straight up level.

America's advantage is its Black population imo, but this govt and I'm sure many more to follow will be far too stupid to ever realize this huge advantage under their own noses. Black American culture is HUGE in Africa, AA's are seen in a much better light than is often thought not to mention Africa is very young in terms of demographics. Seriously, America is stupid as fukk for not having jumped on the Africa wave sooner. I personally don't want this country to have anything to do with the continent other than humanitarian aid, I don't count AAs in that cuz I don't think this country considers them American like that either.....:ld:

That worries me more than anything especially in today's world. You'd need to be on some truly Machiavellian type shyt to pull it off and even then I still have my doubts. Like you said in that Somalia thread, it'd take a powerful ideology and lots of $$$$ to pull it off. More importantly, it can't seem like a threat to cacs even though it'd obviously be a threat to cacs....especially those French fukkboys still playin them neo colonial games on the continent. :beli:

Yeah, it needs to be attempted, though. Wish more Africans had Internet access.

That would be empowering black Americans on a large scale as well as Africa though, why would America want that :troll:

You guys think of the young african leaders initiative funded by the U.S.?

That shyt feels like their making future puppets for their own gain.
