who gives a fukk about that rich german bullshyt, at least i can pleasantly afford this car... you peep that lease deal for the audi or bmw. good luck with that... this chally is beautiful and i believe the charger hellcat will have an AWD option... how can a car with 707 hp 650lb of torque off the line running 9's be slow?!?!?

:mindblown:

Where are you getting these #'s from?

Perfect world condition #'s put it at a 10.9.

Things we already know:
1) It will still be a fat pig of a car
2) It will be very expensive..70k for a dodge? :mjlol:
3) And this correlated to #1, it will not handle nearly as well as either the Chevy or Ford specialty models

Challenger is a nice looking car, but it's a boat and overpriced in SRT trim compared to it's direct competitors.

I doubt it cheaper than 60k since isn't the current challenger srt like 50k? I think it will be closer to 70 than 50 but hopefully for people like you hope I'm wrong. I also don't know if its closer to 70 how many would get that for their only car over a German car.

$70k for an American car with that much power is still cheap COMPARED to the higher profile models from Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche. and still most of them don't produce 700HP cars.

I agree with what your saying. I'm just saying I don't think if you ask the avg person what are they copping for 70k that they taking the challenger over a luxury car.

are you fukking serious. Thats the problem with you so called german car fanatics you seem to think that luxury is about how much tou pay. Who cares... The way i see it the hellcat engine is something we american car enthusiasts can enjoy. Its an american muscle car with 707hp. Why the fukk is anyone else bringing up luxury cars in the same sentence!!!!

Let me provide you with some much needed prospective.

They are estimating that this Challenger is going to be in the 70k range which puts it right in the same range as the new M4.
The 707 hp rating is really only around 600 whp once you figure in parasitic loss of around 15% which is typical for an automatic transmission.
The new M4 has already made 539 whp with a tune that will retail around $800. I believe this is also the whp range of the Mustang 500 GT as well.
Both the 500 GT and M4 are ~3500 lbs while the Hellcat is estimated to weigh in about 4200 lbs.

Do the math and it's obvious that this car really isn't anything special unless they are somehow able to make the cost much lower than what's currently being estimated.

I mean, the Mustang and M4 are both really nice. I like the M4, but you can't compare a car that has had work done to it. I'm pretty sure with a smalller supercharger pulley and a tune that Hellcat engine could easily put out an extra 60-70hp. I'm pretty sure it's going to be heavy but shoot, that's what muscle cars are all about. I'm still waiting to see how the car is going to perform. 707hp is nothing to sneeze at!! One of my supervisors has a 2011 Shelby GT500 supped up to 750hp and that car has crazy acceleration. I can't wait to see what this car will do from the factory.
