1) The only reason Kidd Kidd got on the cover is because 50 Cent gave them the G-Unit reunion cover story

2) There's a lot of label tampering and promise of favors involved in this shyt. XXL pretends like this is all about focusing on the future, avoiding one hit wonders etc...yet OG Maco is on the cover. OG Maco is the definition of a one hit wonder...but he's also signed to Capitol on the low. If he wasn't signed to a label he wouldn't be on the cover.

K Camp isn't popping anywhere but has an album coming out soon so...yeah.

K Camp has been touring and had a good showing at SXSW

Maco has good music once you listen to his stuff other than U Guessed It.

Other than Kidd Kidd this was a pretty good year for XXL. Some pieces could have been switched out for others, but every artist on here either has a hit, a core fan base, or is very innovative (some have more than one of these).

Im surprised at Kidd Kidd being on the cover and at the same time im not surprised..

Im surprised at the fact that this nikka really considers himself a freshman and blatantly lying about his age when he has a damn near 10 year old son.. but im not surprised at the fact that a G Unit artist got a placement considering 50 Cent has had XXL in his pocket for the past decade.. its obviously politics but he's not the first nor the last person to have his spot be paid for.. just wouldve made more sense if the person 50 paid for was an actual newcomer ..and he does have some new artists on G Unit that are actually dope who he couldve did that for
