Parsons is a damn scumbag. Dude really hasn't done anything in his time in Dallas to earn this. He's missed time and not played for them in the playoffs.

I can't hate on Parsons getting his money, I'm more @ the Grizzlies organization. You would think that the team that went into the playoffs with only 8 healthy players would be the LAST team to max out the guy who has gotten injured right before the playoffs started the last two seasons, smh.

He signed a long term deal with NY at less than the max...

And yet after all of these crazy cotnracts... is the narrative STILL going to be Melo was all about the money?

Real talk, it's really unfair players signed to long term deals prior to the cap increase should be allowed to restructure their deals...

I'm thinking that in the last CBA, they could have allowed for that if they wanted. They do get a prorated portion of overall revenues but they didn't add a provision for the future years of individual contracts to be calculated as a percentage of the cap.

But if pretty much every NBA contract is a "shiit contract" nowadays.. Then the average is really not a shiit contract afterall. You have to compare and contrast to the mean .. In 1980, top tier players would be lucky to get half a mill. NBA money from tv contracts etc. is simply growing and your average NBA fan is not yet used to it.
