All this drip on me
Lost in the lakers overpaying Deng is -the fact that he's a low maintenance, blue collar, 2-way player who is reportedly a chill teammate that everyone likes (Wade just tweeted he's one of his favorite teammates he's ever been around a couple hours ago) and is a good locker room presence/ basically the the exact type of a positive veteran leadership that the Lakers needed for team chemistry last year.:ohhh:

Plus this allows the the Lakers to take the advantage of the versatility of their young core.:ehh:

If you want to go small to play against a team like GS, you can start:
1. Russell
2. Clarkson
3. Ingram
4. Deng
5. Randle

Or if you want to go big to play against bigger physical teams, you can go:

1. Russell
2. Ingram
3. Deng
4. Randle
5 Mozgov

Either way each line-up has length and solid D & rebounding. Lakers just better hope their talented young core can produce consistently this year.

Nah I just look at the situation from a realistic view. This a 17 win team with a promising young core. Tanking will not help the development of them and move the team forward.

They ruined flexibility for 4 years

Stupid signings for washed up old dudes

No question

But why pay deng 72 mil?

Afflalo is much cheaper
Ryan anderson is the same price and fills a bigger need
Allen crabbe still available

Theyre so many cheaper, younger options that make more sense
How much are they going for? Going by the FA season so far, do you think they will be that much cheaper than Deng.

Ryan Anderson can't stay on the floor. And he can't guard 3s. Sh!t he can't anybody. Deng fills a bigger need. Ryan may get just as much as Deng. Does he even want to come to the Lakers?

I like Crabbe, but he's restricted.

Affalo is cool but he doesn't fill need as well a Deng. What's his going rate?

As usual bulls sitting on there hands

Y'all just complain to complain.Bulls actually doing the right thing let the market play out then see what's left there's still a trade market out there but y'all rather see them sign wade to a 3 year 75 million dollar contract

They can trade taj and dunleavy who both are value contracts and sign 2 younger restricted fa's (crabbe, tyler johnson) or just suck next year and get a top 5 pick

They actually haven't yet. The cap goes up next season. Young and Lou Will is 12 million or more combined.

It depends on how they structure the two deals.

Welcome to 2016 Free Agency. You are no longer in 2015 Dorothy(no disrespect)

Philly
Lowry can easily take over a game, Conley......can not at this stage of his career.

Lowry can shoot, he's a consistent 3 point threat.

I wouldn't say consistent, but he's a capable 3 point threat. He's still another tier better than Conley

Why pay somebody who could potentially stunt the growth of your best prospect (Ingram) :martin::snoop:

Ingram needs to be given the green light from day one. :ehh:
