Nope

Memphis is gonna try to win 50-60 games for the next 3 years with gasol/zbo/chandler/Allen/Conley

Lakers were supposed to start spending money right before dangelo Russell became a free agent....by then better players would be willing to come when they see that Ingram and Russell are proven potential stars

Now the lakers don't have money to add any real talent for the next 4 year, and they've gotten good enough to miss the playoffs and not get any elite draft prospects.
Welcome to treadmill status Lakers fans

Deng has a very tradeable contract once everything settles down with the cap in a year or 2. Mozgov could as well if he can be a serviceable starter.

Nothing is more important for the Lakers then the development of their young core. They won't be free agent players unless at least one of them blossom in to stars.

Tanking does nothing for this team anymore but get people eventually fired and get players traded.

How does deng have a tradeable contract? He cant stay healthy breh.

Even if the cap jumps to 115 mil in18/19 deng is still eating 15 percent of the cap at 33 years old with no legs.

Hopefully they have 4th year team options on deng and mozgov

Join the 2k league so me and @Brozay can take turns raping your short sighted ass

Breh

Look at the teams who still have a ton of cap room

Philly
Rockets
Celtics

None of these teams are trying to spend 20 mil on a guy like deng. The lakers are bidding against themselves for deng. Dude coulda been had for 3 years 40 mil

Mozgov coulda been had for 3 years 36 mil

Its sad cuz the lakers had the building blocks to build a championship contender. Its all over now.

Short sighted? Says the one who wants to sign the Ronnie Prices/Wes Johnsons of the NBA.

Celtics/Rockets were not 17 win teams.

Look at who Philly put out there on the floor last year next to their draft picks. When has the last time Philly been relevant?

Could they been had by the Lakers for those prices?

I wonder how much the presence of Gortat will sway Horford's opinion. In Boston, Horford would be the center. Olynyk and Amir can play some 5, but when Horford is on the floor, he'll be the one banging against DeAndre Jordan and Demarcus Cousins. He may be tired of doing that.

Playing alongside Gortat, Horford won't have to guarding the opposition's starting center - except maybe during crunch time.

They should try to bring in a guy like Mahinmi next to him

Depends on what else the Celtics do. Theoretically they could still sign someone like Biyombo or Mahinmi

Breh, do you know what short sighted means?

Signing ronnie price and wes johnson isnliterally the definition of thinking long term.

Mozgov and deng are playing for money, so they would have gone to the highest bidder. Nobody else is offering them more than 12-13 mil a year.

Coulda got the gawd jr smith for less than that :banderas:
