2016-2017 NBA Free Agency/Offseason Thread

I thought the Nets would nab a few free agents to help them win atleast 25+ games. Their best acquisition ended up being Jeremy Lin.

Lin is still an upgrade at the PG position, he's better than anybody we had last year

Like I said, we won 20 games last year with that terrible squad. I can't see us doing worse this year, we'll be the same at the very least :ohwelp:

Lin is an upgrade over Jack

Booker is solid. Honestly he's a better fit next to Lopez than Young. Plus a full year of McCullough and we'll get to see him improve further.

Hollis-Jefferson is nice he's still needs work but he's got a ton of potential. He's already a very good rebounder and defender. If he ever gets his jumpshot in order

Not saying this team is gonna be good by any means. But what game changers did we lose? We didn't lose any. So I say this season will basically match last season at the very least

We don't know if they attempted to or not. They might have tried and he just decided to go with Toronto

Personally I'd like to see them go after Terrence Jones. I wouldn't mind trying to go after Mo Harkless, I've been high on him since college. But Portland will probably match, plus I don't think he would wanna come considering his beef with Jacque Vaughn :porter:

Nets went after RFA and used poison pill contracts hoping the team won't match, but Wade signing with the Bulls and the Trail Blazers having a lot of cap room kind of screwed them over
