My biggest thing with James besides dropping the fukn ball is his body type.....he just too tall and narrow and defenders have too easy a time getting under him and pushing him backwards, especially run blocking. I think that's always gonna hold him back from being a true #1 in-line TE in our offense, even if he was more consistent catching the ball.

He's too stiff to ever be a number 1 tight end. Allen would be a perfect fit for us, he's really similar to what Heath was at that age. I just dont want to see them reach on a rookie in the draft and not have him contribute immediately. We need a good tight end to take pressure off and lessen the load of Bell coming out of the backfield. Our offense struggled when it wasn't getting the intermediate to long plays opened up down the field.

Wanted to see who was looking at Boykin and this is what I found :martin:

As irrational as Steelers fans can be about disliking a particular player – since this is about cornerbacks, Will Gay immediately comes to mind – they showed an irrational love for Boykin, acquired in an Aug. 1 trade with the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick. There was nothing ever about Boykin that made him a bad teammate, but he just never impressed the coaching staff that he was better than the role he ended up filling.

"The Steelers didn’t believe he could be an outside cornerback in their defense, and he wasn’t as good as Will Gay in the slot when it came to the combination of coverage/tackling skills they were looking for in the middle of the field. And exacerbating the issue is that Senquez Golson – the player the Steelers had tabbed for the role of slot cornerback – will be back for 2016, and Boykin can become an unrestricted free agent on March 9." :mindblown:

Also it looks like he's going to sign wit the Falcons

At some point you've got to trust the coaches tho. If they saw him on daily basis and didn't think that he was that good then why should we?

What's this about Bell having 2 acl tears tho?
