Benglas fans are really talking shyt?:mjlol:. I don't like the Steelers, but I would enjoy if they would embarrass the Ravens every time they play them. I hate that scummy organization more than almost any organization in sports. I want Harbaugh to continue you cry.:blessed:.

Anyways, I know I asked this last year, but what are your thoughts on Jarvis Jones? I always remember his draft hype being pretty high, but it seems like he hasn't done much.

Mike Tomlin didn't have a choice. The player he wanted was selected one spot before.

Of course he's saying now he wanted Burns.....he can't say otherwise.

He was already on the phone with Burns before you clowns even turned your pick in:DKTomlin:

When and if the Pittsburgh Steelers met with cornerback Artie Burns at the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, one has to wonder whether or not the Miami product was asked if he thought he could cover wide receiver Antonio Brown. On Thursday, Burns finally got his first shots at covering the league’s best pass catcher and he reportedly went 1-for-2 on isolated matchups, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com.

According to a post-practice report by Fowler, Brown scored against Burns on a counter move during the team’s daily seven shots period of practice. The rookie, however, reportedly somewhat got some revenge as he managed to break a deep pass intended for Brown even though the Steelers wide receiver hinted after practice that the ball had been under thrown.

“I had him beat,” Brown said after Thursday’s practice, his first of the season.

Burns had a more diplomatic response when it came to describing what it was like to finally get to cover Brown.

“You can’t panic,” Burns said, according to Fowler. “You always have to stay cool no matter what situation you’re in. He came up on me fast. I just have to trust my eyes, trust my training. To be out here covering him, it helps my level of game rise up.”

While it’s hard to judge how Burns is actually looking so far during practices by just reading the several media reports that are out there, it appears as though the rookie is handling himself well so far. Besides, we have plenty of OTA and training camp practices ahead of us so it’s silly to draw any hard conclusions right now regardless of how positive or negative the daily reports might be.

With all of the above said, Steelers guard Ramon Foster reportedly told head coach Mike Tomlinon Thursday that he thought Burns looks good, according to Aditi Kinkhabwala of the NFL Network. Tomlin’s reported response? “He better. He’s a first round pick!”

If you’re like me, you look forward to hearing about and seeing these two players go against each other the remainder of the summer as both are sure to have future several dances scheduled together on their upcoming cards.

I really think Burns is gonna turn out to be a good pick. Will have good coaching and the opportunity to go against Brown in practice will help his development a lot. Also read Golson is getting a chance on the outside and on O they're starting out with Wheaton on the outside and Coates in the slot

Golson had an MRI the other day, speculation is that it was just a regular check up but still:lupe:

I also like Coates in the slot, I think he has a solid body for it and Wheaton does not:manny:
Coates did as well as you could expect when he had to step in during the playoff so hopefully getting a lot of first team reps will help him + Wheaton make up for the production lost from the Bryant suspension:yeshrug:

Coates will definitely be able to use his body to shield off defenders. I hope Wheaton can beat his man on the outside enough tho. Coates and Green along with Bell being back should be enough to go with Brown/Wheaton/DHB

:francis:

Hate to be negative but when a guy misses his whole rookie season and he gettin an MRI a few months into the offseason that doesn't seem like a good sign. Regardless of whether he says its related or not.

Hopefully it's nothing but where there's smoke there's fire a lot of times with stuff like this.
