HOUSTON — Count Warriors point guard Stephen Curry among those who support the NBA’s decision not to televise the All-Star Game draft this week.

“I’ve always been a proponent of protecting the players,” Curry said. “I know that’s the unpopular position in this day and age. We’re all grown men, and we can handle it. We’re All-Stars and what not. But we want to see how the whole format goes the first time, so it’s presented in the right light.”

Lebron James and Washington’s John Wall have both called for the draft to be televised, arguing that the All-Stars could handle the draft order because they’re all “grown men.” However, Curry recognizes the embarrassing possibilities the league would open players up to by televising the draft.

“It is an extreme honor to be an All-Star,” Curry said. “It sounds great that there won’t be any memes or gifs, whatever it is. Whatever the case is, you won’t be ridiculed for being an All-Star. You got to see how it plays out the first time around.”

He was scared, now he's claiming it should've been televised :beli:

He’s a prime example of why players didn’t want to televise Bron and Steph picking.

We all know Lowry was picked last. :manny:

But let’s say even if Westbrook was picked 7 or 8th it would’ve been a whole espn story today

And of course he would’ve still been in his feelings

It’s not televised probably because players didn’t want it to be in order to save themselves the embarrassment.

Would Lebron have picked Irving if he had the choice from all the players instead of only the starting pool? :jbhmm:

Sidenote I had no idea KD was this thin when he was drafted.:picard:

I don't see how nikkas are cool with this team "Lebron" and team "Steph" shyt. I can't imagine former players that played in the 00s being ok with being called a member of another players team. Can you imagine Kobe saying he was on team LeBron? :scust:

To make them play seriously home court adv in the finals should be offered to the side that wins.

He couldn't bench the bar one time at the combine. It was a big story during the draft.
