so the world team is

Jokic
SGA
Siakam
Avdija
Murray
Doncic
Wembanyama
Giannis-- but he'll get replaced

The question the league has now is that Powell and KAT play internationally. Assuming they replace Giannis with an American, one of these two is gonna wind up on Team USA and not be happy about it.

1ST OFF THERE'S 2 USA TEAMS.

2NDLY IF YOU WERE BORN
IN AMERICA YOU SHOULDN'T
BE ON THE WORLD TEAM.

3RDLY EMBIID NEEDS TO HAVE
GIANNIS SPOT.

THIS AINT THE OLYMPICS

but only 1 world team.

I wouldn't necessarily use the birth place as the be all end all. By that logic, Kyrie could never play for Team USA but Sabonis could.

Dump the Israeli and Siakam, count Canada as in the US/Canada and make it a Ryders cup thing instead :mjpls:

Nah but I don’t really see what this will changes. I have a hard time seeing that international cats care about “international”. But I guess they made the right decision cause I’ll definitely watch to see if it had an impact.

Mike is my goat but this selective outrage is annoying. Some of you probably too young—-or too causal—- to remember Mike got voted in with similar stats on a LOSING team, and then Vince Carter gave up his starting spot for him :heh:

22 6, and 6 on a 5 seed? :manny: It’s borderline, but def not egregious

For kicks and giggles, should we pull up Kobe’s final all star year stats?

17, 3, and 3 on 35/28 splits and a 11-44 record :laff: The fukk outta here

NOW YOURE PURPOSELY
OVERTHINKING.

KYRIE IS AN AMERICAN
WHO WAS BORN ABROAD
DUE TO HIS AMERICAN PARENTS
LIVING ABROAD FOR WORK.

KAT AND POWELL ARE
BORN AND RAISED AMERICAN CITIZENS
WITH ATLEAST ONE AMERICAN PARENT.

NONE OF THOSE GUYS
ON THE WORLD TEAM ARE
ARE FROM AMERICA
NOR HAVE AMERICAN PARENTS

Don't forget Mitchell, he's not FBA, he's Panamanian :mjpls:

I remember Donovan Mitchell mentioning he’d like to play for the World team because his grandma is from Panama

Mike was selected by the coaches just like LeBron was. The difference is who would you say got snubbed in 2003 in the East? Also, who knows if LeBron will even want to play? He didn’t last year and didn’t let anyone know until the day of the game.
