I'm still rocking with this oneplus 3. I just flashed LineageOs with Microg on it to make it more secure and to get rid of google. I'll be keeping it since its still working strong, but I'll be ordering the Librem 5 when it comes out soon.

I denno how protective the case I got is, but my paranoid ass got like 3 layers...got that liquid shield fullbody/screen protector, a tempered glass screen protector and got the case with built it screen protector

I only make calls, text, WhatsApp and browse the internet a little with the phone.
I'm not a power user, so when I do eventually buy a new phone it'll be a mid range Android phone, I can't justify buying an expensive phone again.

Does what I need it to do, I do have the new phone urge but the XS truly isn't worth it. Will wait for this year's iPhone.

I got a $70 samsung phone from best buy early last year, I sim unlocked and rooted it. It has as an ok camera i use for work and supports 802.11ac. it has a removable batter and the battery life is pretty good especially with power saver on. i've dropped it a few times and the screen has yet to be broken or scratched, if it does break i can get a replacement from ebay for $20-$24.. i only care about total cost of ownership with mobile devices and if i should lose them , they'll be easily replaceable.

I remember I was out at T-Mobile in the mall a couple months back. I was talking to the rep about phone deals and he was telling me that the phones stay on the market a year then they are completely phased out for new phones. *smh*

my iphone 7 finally kicked the bucket... cracked the screen (still works) cause this dumbass Uber driver parked like 2 feet away from the curb and it was a puddle on top of that, so when I stretched out to get inside the car so I wouldnt step in the puddle, it fell out my pocket 
straight onto the ground/puddle but its been time.. just ordered the 256 GB iPhone Max XS
considerably larger screen and now 2 generations later, I have pretty high hopes for it. Since ive worked at AT&T and Verizon for half a decade , in my younger years, I was never a big fan of huge screens but the few iPhone Max's ive seen I didnt mind lately and since ive started watching Netflix and Twitch more on my phone especially at the gym, I hope I dont regret the bigger size
yeah my iPhone 7 battery was wackm, I also had the 128 GB matte black version, ive had an iPhone since the 3g first came out(2nd generation) and the iPhone 7 battery was easily the worst I can recall from it.. hoping the XS Max I just ordered has better battery life
Thankfully my Benz also has NFC charging by just laying it down in the pilot area so thats a perk im looking forward to
