Either you think Liz was a politician in the 90's and thus supported tough on crime bills, or you stupidly think that "tough on crime" was a purely partisan issue. Democratic front runner Joe Biden was tough on crime from the 80's until HIS crime bill was passed in 94 under President Bill Clinton (democrat). That bill was presented to the house by DEMOCRAT HR Jack Brooks. Bernie Sanders voted yes on that bill.
