what democrat would stay home for a bernie/tulsi ticket because tulsi was the VP :bryan:?

serious question. can you describe this voter to me? :dead:

what the fukk are you guys talking about? :laff:
Most above 65 plus voters. Maybe a sizeable amount of people who vote in the 25-65 range.

This is a woman who can't even get a delegate and like I said, outside of constantly vying of standing outside of the mainstream individuals, people aren't fukking with Tulsi.

Fine there is a minority of Trump voters who fukk with her but in return you will kill a lot of enthusiasm among Democrats with her as the VP to the point where they may not vote for Trump but say what the fukk is the point of voting. Especially among those who Bernie Sanders isn't their first choice but willing to vote for him in order to get at Trump. Add Tulsi to the ticket, and those individuals whose support of Bernie is already tenuous is likely to be lost completely.

Not sure why you're so shocked by this analysis. Seems obvious to me. Warren would be a better VP bet.

THE breh said around 150k. It could be higher, it could be lower.

What doesn't make sense is him being dismissed for sharing that concern. It his concern and it's legit. He isn't a millionaire, he isn't a billionaire.

You guys don't know his mortgage situation, whether he has some other unforeseen cost that he needs that 5k for. If he has kids he is trying to put through school.

Just watch the tone, everyone isn't your enemy.
This.... I've been posting on the sohh/coli community for nearly 20 years, my politics are largely shaped by this place. And in most walks of life I'm probably one of the most liberal people in that group, but because there is one issue that I'm not as far left on some I get called no better than a Republican? I've never voted republican before in my life, I've said time and time again no matter who the nominee is, they have my unwavering support. Bernie's M4a could raise my taxes 10k and he'd still have my vote. But in the meantime we're still picking the candidate to represent the party and I'm a Republican because my views aren't left enough, good luck trying to coalesce around one candidate.

This poll says it all. She wasn’t progressive enough to please progressives because Bernie is in the race, and she isn’t centrist enough to please centrists.
That's why you can't pull this I'm in the middle Hillary Clinton shyt anymore. Pick a side and stick with it that is why Bernie is the best.

The black voters who “know” Bloomberg aka New Yorkers are all coming out against him. Bloomberg is making this push because of the ads. It’s that simple. It’s money.
black voters want trump out of office. let's be real, we do not fall in love with politicians too often, we're used to them talking out both sides of their mouths, we simply make the pragmatic choice. if bloomberg actually starts picking up votes at the level he's polling at, he's very much in the conversation.

The idiotic kind that believe the propaganda that she's that she's a Russian asset and traitor to her country?

@tru_m.a.c can you repost that tweet where you said "this is the most important graph I've seen " or something to that effect that shows the transition of 2016 Hillary and bernie supporters moved to supporting in 2020? That pretty much highlights this exact issue perfectly. Can't remember what thread you put that one in.

:what:
no one actually believes this. and if they do, they're literally trump voters :laff: you dont have to worry about them caring about who bernie's VP is

i mean i just want to reiterate; we're picturing voters turning up for bernie, the self decribed medicare for all socialist, but putting tulsi gabbard as his VP is where they draw the line? :laff:THAT's what would make them not vote for bernie?

giving the dems strategy credit for obama is like giving phil jackson triangle credit for the lakers and bulls titles, they lost 1,000 seats
simple question, for you and anyone else

say instead of biden, moderate white guy who appeals to the middle of the country swing states, obama picks a radical leftist VP

you still like his chances as much :ehh: less or greater?

:dahell:

Most Democrats regardless of who they support in the primary usually support the nominee. But their tolerance level isn't infinite. Bernie will definitely have a segment of people who will never vote for him, like all nominees do. He will also have those who don't like him but will vote for him and finally he will have his core supporters. But there is a segment of people who may begrudgingly vote for him under extreme duress and by adding Tulsi to the ticket the number who don't like him but votes for him will shrink while those who will never vote for him will rise.

Again, not sure what is so absurd about this.

@FAH1223 and @tru_m.a.c I was thinking when the primaries are over, how about merging each primary thread into the main democratic primary thread? That way a lot of the good discussion that happen in these threads aren't lost as they become kind of obsolete once the next primary starts.
Sure no prob

because it's wrong :yeshrug: i mean im sorry, but the idea of people being willing to vote for bernie with ALL of his socialist ideas, but making tulsi his VP is where they draw the line is fukking asinine. i can't believe what im reading :mjlol:
