MY AGENDA
August 2019

Click the quote. The big money donors flip flop threw her entire campaign in a negative to me. She walked it back after backlash but the damage was done...thats not a stance you can waver on. Its not just about the 1% being taxed, its about reducing their disproportionate political influence.

Im initally leaned warren because I liked her pragmatic plan approach rather than bernie's more "extreme" framing but that is one area that needs his balls to the wall conviction because the establishment can and will fight progressivee tooth and nail for their power.

I want better healthcare but tbh it nor M4all is a make or break issue for me.

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
:mjlol:Stop.

Democratic socialism - Wikipedia
Democratic socialism is a political philosophy supporting political democracy within a socially owned economy

Bernie is a socialist, for better or for worse, stop juelzing.

:heh:@Bernie being the truth to you guys accept when he says he's socialist, then its :whoa: "thats not what he means":mjlol:

this is a great video. but I've timestamped the relevant part.

Bernie has explained over and over again what he means by Democratic Socialist. What he actually explains is a Social Democracy. But this is America, and the "Democratic" part has to be said before the "Socialist" part or your DOA politically (it's a miracle he isn't already)

mr. beat also had a nice video on the topic

I just caught a Bloomberg ad on TV. It might as well have been an Obama ad it was basically "look at how cool I am with Obama" and then Obama saying some kind words about Bloomberg at whatever campaign fundraiser whatever they were at.

Not hard to see why Bloomberg is catching on. People think he got the :obama: co-sign..

So I'm assuming Bernie's silence tonight when asked if he would reject the money from Bloomberg and other big donors throws his entire campaign in a negative for you?

Not to wander too off topic but how do you think health care in 1989 Cuba stacked up to the Soviet Union? Better or worse? Cuba has obviously made leaps in bounds in medicine in recent decades and that's largely due to international investment, partnerships, and technological advances that I would assume didn't/couldn't exist at the time...

Anyways putting Cuba on pedestal when blacks there are discriminated against worse than they are in Brazil tends to irk me... maybe it's irrelevant
I honestly don't know shyt about health care in the Soviet Union, that was well before my time so I've never bothered studying up on it.

I follow what happened in Cuba cause it's a pet issue for some human rights/public health advocates and doctors who I know and stan right now. After the Soviet Union collapsed, but with the embargo still in place, Cuba lost its patron and was at a massive disadvantage financially. But instead of their health system collapsing, they kept it strong and made it a model system that not only does a good job of keeping their population healthy despite limited resources, but still does a lot of good work outside the country too.

I ain't a fan of Cuban leaders or the Cuban government, you'll never catch me wearing a Che shirt or praising Castro. This is only about the practical effects of one particular system's approach. But the racism brings up a great point. There's mad racism in the USA and as a result Black folk, especially in the South, have horrific health care outcomes. There's mad racism in Cuba and Blacks in Cuba still have better outcomes on many major issues than Blacks in the South even with 1/10th the funding and resources. That tells you some shyt right there.

Yeah, I'm just trying to keep it apples to apples

it's a laudable achievement

I still haven't been kept out of a profession or school because of my race

On a random mostly unrelated note, my next historical beefs story was gonna be on the Black space race. The USA and USSR at one point were actually both considering the PR of being the first nation to send a Black man to space. USA could have been first but fumbled the ball, USSR won by sending a Black Cuban fighter pilot in 1980. He was lauded as a Hero of the Cuban Republic and a Hero of the Soviet Union.

that's pretty awesome and I wasn't aware of that

food for thought although I'm sure you've seen some documentaries or read better pieces about it
