I don't think anyone thinks you're the enemy breh. I hope not. I certainly don't. You should vote forThe one thing I'll say about the 3-home thing, because I think it's a charge that's been thrown at him by his opponents in bad faith...Bernie has a house in DC, a house back home in Vermont, and a $500,000 vacation home that he bought in 2016. The guy is 78 years old and is far less wealthy than most of the people to ever run for President. The median net worth for Senators in the U.S. is about 3 million dollars, and Bernie's net worth before his book deal was less like 250,000 dollars. To be fair he made a lot of money of his book (his net worth is now a couple million) but again, he's in the final stage of his life and I can't knock the guy for wanting a vacation home.
So he was a bum who couldn’t spin his senatorial advantage into prosperity ...yet we’re supposed to trust him to lead the country to prosperity

*ok, I really did just say that to :troll:*
Why Cali so expensive, tho? Since y'all live/d there..
@dora_da_destroyer
SF is small #1, California is not the east coast, people enjoy seeing the sun and nice views, that plus earthquakes kept SF from building high rises, so off bat there is limited supply, then NIMBY’s who fight building, but even if you build it costs like $500k per unit (I think this is 600-700 sq ft) to build in SF, so that alone means you’re starting at a price point of $500k+ for a condo/home. Then comes the tech rush that has brought so many people to the region over the past 20-25 years, tech is all clustered in SF or the peninsula (and South Bay) meaning everyone wants to live in SF, if they’re young and wanting to go out, down the peninsula to San Jose - that adds even more pressure to housing there as more people move to the bay and then only cluster in one micro region

So what we come up with will be even better. Maybe we'll go with the Warren plan:yeshrug:

We're married to the idea, not the plan.

At this point I just hope Bernie wins (I’m doubtful) because we’re stuck with him now and the alternative is far more intolerable. It’s just wild to think about how fractured the Democratic Party’s looking right now. I was 19 when Barack ran in 2008 so I wasn’t as into politics but I don’t remember people on the left being so divided. We fighting like we not in the same party.
Bernie is who we all hoped Obama was.

I say this to you as someone that can be swayed, but why would I vote against someone that wants to work in my interest on that basis that they might not be able to get everything done that they'd like to? It's not my job to be a politician and do their jobs for them. I don't care about what bill can get how many votes in 2021, or 2022, etc. I should be able to vote for who I think will work hardest to implement policies that will help me, and that's it.

And BTW I don't feel like he's promising the moon. He's said that wants to be careful not to over-promise and under-deliver, but that he's going to fight his hardest. I respect that.

FWIW I respect Warren too. She's the only other person I'd be open to voting for as of now.
Theres saying it, and there's doing it.

Warren actually did the homework on Sanders plan.

Sanders keeps avoiding actual detail.

How can you trust Sanders to even advocate for something that he keeps avoiding discussing in depth? Its always "eye glasses, hearing aids, dental"... that same 3 list of "medicare" for the last 5 fukking years.

You can't even tell me Sanders seems like he knows WTF he's doing.

the tipping point is people are dying and some people care about people they don't know and some don't
People BEEN dying.

Its about getting the best thing RIGHT NOW.

Bernie ain't gonna get medicare for all and doesn't even know WHAT he wants because HE KEEPS AVOIDING DETAILS TO GET IT DONE!

McSally is trash and has been getting beaten by a decent amount vs Kelly in the polls.
Kelly leads Martha McSally despite Trump's backing

Why should we care if she is making Sanders attack ads, that's really gonna be what turns the tide in AZ?
All those dems we won in 2018 will be lost with Sanders at the top of the ticket.

You want VULNERABLE HOUSE DEMOCRATS answering questions about communism 24/7????

Tech, foreign investors, location, lack of new housing stock, etc
Millions and millions of people with a ton of money want to live there and the actual physical space in the most desireable places ain't all that much. San Francisco is surrounded by water, even the rest of Silicon Valley is stuck between the ocean and mountains. LA has ocean on two sides, mountains on the 3rd side and desert on the 4th.

And it ain't like east coast where people accustomed to living in little spots, west coast folk want big homes with properties so that eats up space.

At the end of the day voters decide who gets elected and therefore who gets to vote in congress, if people vote for progressives downballot off Bernie's momentum then it makes it easier for him to pass progressive policies.

Also, no matter what dem candidate wins, no matter what they propose, they'll have the same challenges. Bernie seems to be the only option capable of whipping up a fervor across all demographics.
In 2016 while Hillary was raising money for down ticket races, sanders wasn't:

Clinton, Sanders differ on down-ballot Democrats

this is a quote I've found helpful. from Bernie's wife:

Bernie says he is trying to “redefine our value system.” Jane talks about breaking down decades of societal muscle memory: “It seems to be the American way,” she says. “That we all think it’s our fault — instead of recognizing there is a system that is making it unfair for them.” They are, as they see it, trying to dismantle the ideal of “rugged individualism,” an entire era of political thought. Ari Rabin-Havt, a top adviser who travels with the candidate every day, puts it more tangibly: The campaign is a “megaphone” for working people, he says. Briahna Joy Gray, his national press secretary, has likened the effect to “catharsis” from nationwide “gaslighting.” On the podcast she hosts for the campaign, she compares her boss to Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting: the therapist who tells Matt Damon, a young man who was abused by his foster parent, “It’s not your fault. Look at me, son. It’s not your fault… no, no, no, it’s not your fault.”

Individualistic thinking is holding a lot of people back from seeing the vision
is this supposed to be riveting and inspiring?

This is hilariously sophomoric.

I don't get this talk about "his plan ain't realistic" and "he'll never get it done" when it comes to m4a. What type of thinking is that. This is a fukkin revolution it's not no pull and tug war. If you think like that you'll never bring change. The truth of the matter is that democrats are divided because it's always been a fight against classes first and foremost. I mean there's dudes in the coli supporting a white supremacist in trump because they've been lied to by the liberal elites for decades after pretty much handing your vote constantly to them.
