I actually really like Gillum as a candidate and think he bodies Pence in a VP debate. My concern is that the lefties that are skeptical of Warren on things like M4A actually had a similar set of questions about Gillum after he won the primary and softened his rhetoric for the broader base. I like Gillum as a candidate better than her, but think Abrams would get more love from the lefties tbh but that's speculation on my part. From what I saw, Gillum got hit with skepticism that Abrams was able to avoid for some reason. I remember things like this Jimmy Dore clip and think if anything, Gillum might actually turn the lefties that are already skeptical of Warren more off (not myself but a significant chunk of the left that I typically debate with about strategy as it is).

I feel like Warren is already covering the bridge candidate role. She should sure up either the lefty purists or the centrist purists with her choice. I'm not sure Gillum accomplishes that. I like Gillum as VP on any of the more centrist candidates' tickets more. I think he'd make any of those candidates an easier pill to swallow for the left leaning squad like myself. But if you go further left (honestly, I don't even know that I'd categorize them as to my left but just different lefty demographics), I'm not sure he does anything for those heads. That's the Tulsi, Yang and a chunk of the Bernie supporters I have in mind here. It's not that he's not good for plenty, I just think Warren already has those votes locked up assuming she wins the primary (she's got me locked up).
Hillary nearly won without the cultists on the far left. If they truly despise Trump then they will come around to Warren. If they have a problem with her, then good chances they'll eventually find something they don't like about Abrams.

My fear with Warren is getting squeezed at the fringes of both. The Democratic donor class and centrists decide she's a bridge too far and don't show up. The lefty purists do the same on the other end. Turnout is important, I'd prefer Warren lock up one of those extremes for the sake of peaking her numbers.

I think Gillum would be a good choice for her. I get what are you are saying about having two bridge candidates on the same ticket. I guess my counter point is this. I’m not sure if that wing of the left would be happy with anyone but Bernie. Even Tulsi, and Yang are not universally liked by that crowd. Tulsi is liked by Dore, and House, but is hated by The Majority Report, and TYT (except for Cenk) audience. Kyle and Cenk seem to like Yang, by the Majority Report(especially Michael Brooks) really dislike Yang, and thinks he really a libertarian pretending to be a left candidate. I could be wrong but I don’t know if there is any one candidate that would unite that wing of the left except Bernie.

I like Abrams as well but don’t think she would be a good running mate for Warren. Not sure if you can have an all women ticket at this point. I think she would make a great running mate for Biden (let’s hope Biden don’t win) and a decent to good running mate for Bernie. I think Gillum would be good with Warren or even Biden (Again lets hope Biden don’t win). I think Bernie would need to pick a woman, because the lingering resentment from HRC supporters. I actually think Ayanna Pressley would be a great VP running mate for anyone besides Warren( don’t think you should have two women representing Massachusetts on the same ticket). She is part of the Squad, but she doesn’t make as much noise as the other three, so I don’t think she is hated by moderates. I think she is someone to watch for, especially if Bernie somehow pulls it off.

Gillum seems to be a centrist/neoliberal. It makes a lot of sense for him to be VP of either Biden or Warren. Really anyone but Sanders.

ding ding ding

if they are willing to sit at home and endure another 4 years of trump, they were never serious in the first place
For the billionth time, "far left cultist" "bernie bros" came to the polls and voted for Hillary at a higher rate than Hillary's 08 primary supporters came out for Obama in the 08 general.

Y'all keep repeating this fukking lie and we keep pointing out that you're fukking lying.

That's why I don't put Nap on ignore. Bullshyt needs to be countered continuously.

The real cultists are the Pundit Consultant Complex. Remoras attached to careerist pols, begging for scraps.

Scust. :hhh:

Fair enough. Who do you think would be a good VP pick for Warren?

I forgot about the sunday school teacher card she still hasn't used. She's probably saving that for the general to sway moderates. :wow:

God, what I would give for one of the moderators in the debate next year to ask Trump and Warren a simple question - what is your favorite Bible verse? :wow:
