Warren is a 70 year old white woman who isn’t particularly charismatic. There really isn’t a high-profile younger progressive dude she can add. And after Tim Kaine, I doubt she goes the centrist route. I’m not seeing the deep bench for progressive men to go with her message. Funny thing is, if he didn’t run for president, she could have passed Beto in there before people knew any of his stances.

Biden needs someone young in the worst way. Abrams is the first thought that came to mind but he could also take the governor of Michigan, and that’s probably safer.

Gillum would be a great choice for Liz’ VP. I’ve seen firsthand how he got young black people excited and on board and that's who she needs to convince.

He almost won (probably did and got cheated) in a state that Trump won and has never had a Dem Governor that wasn’t a blue dog centrist type.

Why wouldn’t you take the #1 leader in all major polls seriously?

Because It is not just about Trump. The republicans stated back in 2009 that they would oppose anything Barack Obama does even if they agree with it. The Obama administration give the Republicans almost everything they wanted with the grand bargain, and they still didn’t support it. The Republican Party have been a problem long before Trump. To think that just because Trump is out of office that his right wing base is going somewhere is just foolish. The Trump base is basically the Tea Party.

No, you explain how a guy who underperformed a shut-in (Bill Nelson) and had to settle an ethics investigation is a good choice.

I already told you. Without DeSantis cheating, he would be governor right now. Clearly Bill Nelson or the ethics investigation didn't hinder his chances for governor. Just racism and alleged mettling from the Russians.

So why would he be a bad choice?

I was apprehensive at first as well. But that’s who’s being pushed hard behind the scenes . I’ve come around on it.

So a lot of people don't like Rick Scott. Plus there wasn't a racist campaign waged against Nelson. Your "outperforming" defense is weak at best.

Gillum is an excellent great VP pick for Warren. Though I admit Abrams would probably be better. And Deval better still.

honestly, i'm not a fan of the "almost won so lets elevate you" candidates.

Incumbency matters. It proves and establishes momentum.

If Abrams was serious, she'd run for office. Gillum too. Beto at least ran for something, albeit the wrong office.

I'm sad they lost, but they're not exactly Hillary Clinton either.

Abrams actually ran things at a state level. Gillum hasn’t.

Pete’s fans are moderate, republican and progressive gays with a mission to normalize gay candidates regardless of his political leanings. That’s the only reason he has a platform despite only being a mayor

Gillum doesn’t have that support. Plus it’s really hard to be pushed through without black political power players supporting you.

Obama had his Chicago people, Abrams has Atlanta. Gillum doesn’t have enough black ppl with pull to really get somewhere without him winning at the state level.

Deval has the truly elite rich people that love him, white and black.

Bernie will pick a woman. You can’t be blamed for stopping a woman president twice and not put a woman on the ticket. Gillum is getting free air time every day of TV and you’re all acting like this guy has nowhere to launch from. The only reason people don’t talk about how he got robbed more is because of those exit polls showing over 10 percent of black women voting for DeSantis and we all know that doesn’t fit narratives.

They don’t understand. I had the misfortune of living in the panhandle of Florida when I was in the military. Worst fukking years of my life. When people think of Florida they think of South Beach, and Universal Studios. They don’t understand that Northwest Florida and a large part of Central Florida is completely redneck, highly conservative, and outright racist.
