Why can't you admit the policies and politics you supports brings Trumpism to the forefront? Why can't you admit no one wants anything to do with the third way anymore?

I have no problem with Bernie's policies.

My problem is with BERNIE.

IDK why yall keep putting words in my mouth.

Bernie is just a terrible leader.

If he wants to ride into the sunset as an activist and legislator, I'm all for it...but he's not suited for the White House.

I do see a scenario where the Democrats destroy each other, especially Biden during the primary, Biden still wins the primary, then those same people destroying him, rush to support Biden, but Trump and conservative media uses everything that was said from Democrats about Biden during the primary against Biden and young people are convinced enough to stay home. Trump wins re-election thanks to the Democrats handing it to him.

Democrats can't do anything right so this will always be a possibility. Even if it's a small possibility.

Obviously you're right in that everyone will be focused on defeating Trump. But that still doesn't mean that Biden's history won't be a liability. Trump's strategy is to bring his opponent's favorabilities down and double down on attacks ranging from issues like NAFTA, China, Crime Bill with scandal and in Biden's case they'd talk about his son's dealings and all that shid.

Of course, Trump is a criminal and his family is benefiting from the office. But as we know, they don't give a fukk and have no shame. Plus the right wing media apparatus and its misinformation floods into the mainstream. Outlets like CNN, NPR and others in print like NYT, WaPO were so bad in 2016 they helped Trump out so much

Every candidate has liabilities. Warren - the Native American thing, Biden - Gaffes/voting history, Bernie - Socialism....I don't think it's going to matter for any of them when most of the country views the messenger as a pathological liar. You guys are underestimating how many people have made up their mind on Trump. I meet people everyday itching to vote his ass out. They don't even really care who the nominee is. I might be wrong, but I expect the media to be a little more responsible this go-around. The left has done a pretty good job keeping them in check the last two years. Just look what happened to the NYT last week, CNN having to fallback from hiring that Trump stooge, the transformation of Joe & Mika, etc. Ex: when was the last time you heard that "economic anxiety" narrative in the msm?

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying Trump will use Democrats own arguments against Biden, against Biden. And those same Democrats will look dumb in the process trying to defend it on TV when it comes to the main election because they were the ones who said those things. Republicans can get away with all this. Democrats not so much.

If all of this is true, then that's an even bigger reason to ditch Biden. His entire appeal is electability, so if every candidate has liabilities and the masses are itching to vote Trump out, then we might as well go with the candidates that offer a real vision of positive change in this country instead of just a weak return back to the era that produced this situation we're currently in.

Biden has been mostly criticized about this voting record on things such as busing and the crime bill. It would not work out well for Trump to attempt to criticize him on those things since he has things like family separation and very fine white nationalist people. Not to mention, Trump doesn't understand any of the politics of those things so his people are going to keep him from talking about them to avoid him getting pulled into a policy debate.

Anthony Scaramucci, who famously served as President Trump's communications director for 11 days, says Republicans may need to pick a different candidate in 2020.

Driving the news: In a phone interview on Sunday afternoon, Scaramucci compared Trump to a melting nuclear reactor and said he may support a Republican challenger to Trump.

• "We are now in the early episodes of 'Chernobyl' on HBO, where the reactor is melting down and the apparatchiks are trying to figure out whether to cover it up or start the clean-up process," Scaramucci said.
• "A couple more weeks like this and 'country over party' is going to require the Republicans to replace the top of the ticket in 2020."

Scaramucci, who has given hundreds of thousands of dollars to Republican candidates, including Trump's 2016 campaign, said that if Trump "doesn't reform his behavior, it will not just be me, but many others will be considering helping to find a replacement in 2020."

• "Right now, it's an unspeakable thing. But if he keeps it up, it will no longer be unspeakable. The minute they start speaking of it, it will circulate and be socialized. We can't afford a full nuclear contamination site post 2020."

The big picture: Scaramucci has said that Trump's attacks on congresswomen of color "divide the country." And yesterday the president attacked his former communications director in a couple of tweets.

• White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham had this short response to Scaramucci's comments about opposing Trump in 2020: "It sounds like his feelings are hurt."

Trump would easily destroy Warren, Kamala, and Bernie. I don’t see southern white males putting a Kamala or Warren bumper sticker on they F150. Bernie, he couldn’t beat Hilary.

How many times do Southern white males have to keep voting 60% + for the Republicans before people stop courting them?

It’s the same mentality with the guns. White guys tell people they are doing it for racism and people talk about video games and mental health.
