Racial justice is a major component of Bernie's campaign AND yes, the working class is all in this together. Multiple things can be true at the same time.

We know for a fact, because @Mephistopheles went and found the receipts, that this specific "reparations 2020 or we won't vote" thing is funded by fukking white nationalist/supremacist organizations. I'm not talking about Ta Nehisi Coates or the historical fight for reparations. I'm talking about this very specific one thing, and you know what I mean. This Yvette Carnell thing that TLR loves.

White supremacists obviously don't want to pay you reparations. They obviously don't want you to vote, either. Gee, what could possibly be going on here?

I support reparations for slavery and Jim Crow and whatever historians will wind up calling the supposed post-Jim Crow era. I believe the Dem would lose in 2020 if this were part of their platform. NO ONE has challenged me on this.

Please stop bringing up Yvette. Nobody in this thread has mentioned Yvette, Tone or Tariq. Most of the people in this thread are more educated about how politics work and are not followers of those frauds. Bringing them up derails the debate. Again, this is not only about reparations, it is his uncomfortably talking about Black issues as a whole. Plus I don’t think the dems would lose by adding reparations to the platform, especially if it is something like HR40. Nobody has stated this should be the main issues the dem nominee run on. But adding a commission to study reparations should be a minimum. Most people don’t support illegal immigrants being able to receive a national healthcare plan, but yet every dem candidate supports it. I already mention a bunch of other unpopular policies Bernie has supported throughout the years.

Another thing is this. It is not only about the working class White voters. Yes we need to work on getting their votes. But Dems also lost in 2016 due to a depressed Black turnout. Especially in Michigan, and Wisconsin.

Considering the range of controversies we've seen recently, from election fraud to international money laundering with some election interference on the side, this story shouldn't have gotten any traction at all :stopitslime:
What's concerning to me is that I saw Bernie stans pushing this smear as much as MAGA shytheads. Same with the Pocahantas smear. It doesn't bode well for intra-progressive unity should Warren get the nomination. My hope is that these anti-Warren extremists just have an outsized voice and are vastly outnumbered by normal, progressive-minded people in Bernie's camp.

Polling showed 8 of 10 bernie supporters would enthusiastically support warren

Same in reverse for Warren supporters

As it seems to go, people with the loudest opinions tend to be the most unreasonable

BLAH BLAH BLAH

It’s OVA.

Bernie got no black support, no southern support, and his health is a issue.

HR40 is not reparations. It's a proposal to form a committee to study the issue. It's already been "cancelled" by ADOS.

And Bernie is NOT uncomfortable talking about black issues. This is simply a falsehood.

:mindblown: Are you even reading the posts? We know what HR40 is. Bernie was slow to even support that. HR40 is still supported by most people in this thread. I’m ADOS but I’m not a follower of these Twitter shytheads. You keep bring up the Yvette type of ADOS people as if they speak for most Black people on the issue of reparations. Also I find it funny a non Black person is telling multiple Black people their wrong, and that Bernie is doing great talking about Black issues!

That’s mostly a state level issue
It is and isn’t. The federal government give out police grants, and there are Blue Lives Matters Bills at the federal level. One was passed by the house last year
Call Congress’s “Blue Lives Matter” Bills What They Are: Another Attack on Black Lives
Also the federal government through the justice department can be a lot more aggressive with civil rights violations, especially when it comes to the 4th amendment. Plus, I would go even further, and push for Congress to come up with a universal Use of Force policy. I would argue the Supremacy Cause and make local, and state departments take it to court.
