the dem party is so fukking weak, why even have people like this in the party. You never heard republicans say this type of shyt, at most they'll disagree with trump and promote themselves or find someone else in the party to tap. Most Republicans politicians did oppose Trump until he dominated their primaries. They were fussing about him in the general and then he won, so they shut up. There are still NeverTrump Republicans but they've been marginalized. Moreover thr GOP isn't a big tent party, so its easier to appeal to their core supporters (tax cuts for the wealthy and culture wars for the rabble).

Manchin holding his seat is the diffetence between the ACA being repealed and the ACA still being mostly in place. He's not in a swing state. If Manchin thumbing his nose helps keep him in office, then let him (he's not even up for reelection though).

Definitely wouldn't be voting for Bernie in a Bernie vs Trump but he wouldn't rule out voting for Trump. Not directly related but probably worth noting Bernie took every county in West Virginia in the 2016 primary (credited to heavy support from coal workers)

Manchin also told Schumer to kiss his ass when he went against the party to vote for Kavanaugh. And if I'm not mistaken, a chunk of the handful of Dems that were caught up in that mess and bucked the party line to protect their seats wound up losing anyway but I'd have to verify that ish.

There were a few NeverTrump politicians that claimed the voted for Clinton over Trump, but I get your larger point. Minority or not, there are too many other examples of Senate Democrats acting out, which reflects poorly on Schumer's leadership abilities.
