As of right now, 16% percent would be disappointed if Bernie is the nominee and 11% for Liz. There’s literally zero evidence that she can bring the two groups together better than he can. No candidate has proven that so far and I might have co-signed Warren before anyone else when a lot of current Warren supporters tried to sell the streets Beto.

My girl Bitcofer alluded to this. Her entire negative partisanship theory which has been money for predicting recent election results is built on the idea that majority of Dems are gonna turn out to vote against Trump moreso than anything regardless of candidate. She's a Warren G btw, but posted a long twitter thread combating the idea that a progressive would depress the vote using both Bernie and Warren as examples. The Dems are gonna turn out except for those at the extremes of each candidate's support (and tbh that's pretty much how it always goes for everyone).

there's no evidence re: polling, but her not being (perceived) as far left as bernie and more willing to compromise is what leads many to expect her to (be able to) run "more palatable" messaging in a general than bernie. that said, i think people will fall in line with biden as well. bernie is the wild card given part of the establishment's/moderate dem's disdain of him.
and disappointment doesn't mean sit home...which backs up my whole reason in replying to acri. the eventual nominee isn't going to lose both losers' segment of voters, there will be small factions of one or both losers bases that might deflect, but no where near the doom and gloom acri is painting.
