Two people just quoted you saying different so your doubt is unwarranted. lol
Actually, they do control the House, what are you talking about? :dahell:

They can't just ignore the Senate and come up with a budget that would never be approved. Nor do they control enough of the House to override a veto by Trump.

Let's be reality breh, Obama himself, the person that all these people hated so much that they just had to vote in Trump ,would have mopped the floor with that clown. Unless you're saying otherwise, the math isn't really adding up.

:francis:

That's because Hillary was a bad candidate who depressed Democratic turnout. Obama would've had more black/young turnout so he probably would've won.

None of that changes the fact that the whole MAGA thing was and is backlash against Obama. You really think Trump would've won the primary in 2008 or 2000? :usure:

Rs were willing to shut down the government for things they wanted. Big difference between the parties I guess. :francis:

Republicans have always relied on racist rhetoric to win elections, so that part was a given. What was different that allowed for such a circus clown to even get a big enough platform for his demagoguery was the break down of trust in the media and in the political establishment. People outchea having to go on google to self diagnose and find ways to treat themselves at home while these politicians play games with our lives, they (we) are sick of it. It's the same reason why despite the bernie black out and clear media and DNC bias against him, he is in position to garner the same kind of reactions as these:

Even Yung Bern had to eat a whole ass crow. Can you imagine how he felt? Or how his supporters felt knowing that even republicans were trying to keep him from winning and failed? Any republican that understood what was going on could have appealed to the crowd of people who were 100% done with this sham of a political shell game and made good on it. (which is the real scary part)

The only way you could have countered that was with another populist, a REAL one and they decided to trot the wicked witch of the white house out there because...entitlement, she's American royalty after all.

How many Republicans voted for Bush in 00 and 04? How many voted for McCain in 08? How many voted for Romney in '12?

What evidence do you have that the 62 million who voted for Trump aren't composed of the 50-60million people who voted Republican every presidential election since 2000?

This statement presupposes 2 dangerous things:
- elections aren't by definition a backlash vs a pushback
- that there was a different electoral path that would've tempered the hate against liberal politics

Trump winning is a direct result of establishment democratic politics. There were a ton of trump voters who voted for Obama. Trump ran on an anti corruption (drain the swamp) and bring the troops home rhetoric. Believe it or not voters are tired of status quo establishment politics and politicians and Trump was an “outsider” who claimed he was going to change things in Washington. If Democrats refuse to accept this & nominate someone like Biden we will lose again

To add to my previous post...would any of you in here that supported Obama (like myself) have traded passing a private label republican health care bill and centrist governance for the progressive grass roots movement that he built on his way into office and then lost? I know I would have

I remember making every fukking excuse in the world for him, he's Jackie Robinson, his hands were tied...he'll be even more of a force for justice and equality. Once he's out of office and isn't bound to having to fight for every inch of 'progress', we'll all see the real Obama, the leader of the people...and then you realize what time it really was.

Imagine carrying that energy into the voting booth to fight for the Clinton legacy against Donald fukking Trump.

This a good point, I to made those concessions for him as well.
And we see we were wrong, he didn't help or pass along his Grass Roots election support and all he seems interested in now are vanity driven projects.

I want to put him on ignore but everything and everyone he stans crashes and burns. It's unbelievable, every single thing he's promoted has been a failure.

I'm not superstitious, I don't believe in jinxes but the moment I saw him stanning Warren I felt terrible because I knew she had no chance :francis:

:laff:

Obama passed like 80-90% of his agenda. What didn’t he deliver?

Trump is corrupt.
He's also not bringing the troops home.
The establishment is still in control.

What's left?
