Honestly. I REALLY hope Bernie wins.

I care about the mental health of the folks on this board, and I know folks are going to go fully deranged if Bernie loses.

I would rather have them involved in the process to the end, no matter the outcome, than have them quit now and go full Susan Sarandon

:pachaha:
im just concerned bernie wont win the general :yeshrug: the economy is too good, it's better than it was any year under obama. so that doesnt really bode well for convincing america to switch on an incumbent, for a revolution that's based on raising taxes

I think the economy is only doing good for those that already had money to start with. Not for the lower/middle class.

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
What makes me feel good is that I heard many voters in Iowa are shying away from Bernie due to their 'electibility fears'

I'm confident that in the caucuses the Bernie supporters will be able to communicate to their neighbors the fact that Bernard polls well nationwide is consistently beats Trump in head to head polling.

What gives me pause is the 2nd choice, thing. I don't think Bernard is going to be many people's 2nd choice

Meh. Bernie needs to become the nominee.

His supporters need to appreciate how difficult it is to get shyt done. At this stage they just lob insults and talk about how Bernie would be better.

Let's get him in the drivers seat and see how things work out.

Still better than Trump.

Can any of these candidates actually beat Trump though? Prez has been campaigning since he got into office with over $350M ready in the bank. The Democratic nom will be broke going up against the Trump Machine. I'm calling 4 more years of Trump. There's too much division on the left imo for any of the Noms to unite the party and oust Trump.

Someone needs to explain to me how Trump has expanded his voting coalition in the past 4 years. Who are the people who voted for Hillary, a godawful candidate, in 2016 and will now vote for Trump after his 4 years of fukkery. Call me crazy, but I'm not super worried about him winning. I think any of these frontrunners can beat him.

He's a total rebuke of their entire philosophy. Their failure to actually work for the people is how we got to this point. Bernie is their comeuppance. He makes them ashamed.
Maybe, but I think they believe he's selling people pipe dreams.

When people ask some of his biggest supporters how they plan to enact his policy vision the response usually boils down to, "we should at least try."

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much of a plan beyond that. And if we're being honest, there needs to be knowing the amount of opposition they'll see from the GOP and currently a fractured Dem party.

How is this any different with a moderate candidate? Republicans are going to stonewall everyone. Let’s get the guy with the best ideas in there. Bernie has made billion dollar companies capitulate him based on his movement.

“Pipe dreams” like affordable healthcare and secondary education which are common place in the rest of the first world :hhh:
