Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
Bernie is polling around 25% where he's been this entire time. The numbers show the election is still pretty much a toss up and heading to a likely contested convention.

@OfTheCross It's on Sanders to win me over. To do that he's going to need to do a better job addressing black issues head on and give concrete plans on how he's going to enact his agenda. :coffee:
I'm asking because I don't know. I haven't heard her speak on it.

In what ways is Ms. Warren addressing black issues head on?

The bigger problem is you're going to have people running for senate who can win who aren't pro socialism.

Can Sanders and his supporters handle that?

I have to admit, my biggest worry about Bernie is what kind of downballot effect he'll have on other Dems

Even if they agree with his policies I can see Dems in swing districts being hesitant about associating with the whole socialist label. Hopefully antipathy toward Trump overrides that sort of thing.

It'l be awkward if a bunch of Dems are all "I support Bernie, but I'm not a socialist tho :whoa: "

Most Warren voters have Bernie as their 2nd choice and vice versa.

Why Biden over Bernie for you?
He's the 2nd most realistic candidate to help us win and keep the senate. I'm more concerned about Bernie's policies alienating ll states like Virginia and middle of America.

Weren’t they saying this about Trump in 2016?
I think some of them hoped for it, but Trump was winning or just barely losing the entire time. He was the front runner from the day he announced.

He didn't really have it locked in until mid April.

I'm not sure it plays out the same if in April we have 4 dem candidates still in the paint plus whatever is going on with bloomberg and steyer.

I fear it might shift from ideology to electability.

What I’m most worried about is Justice Dems going too hard primarying too many dems. Solidarity has to go both ways a little bit if Bernie gets the nom

I’m gone jump into this one. I like Bernie. But i am concerned that if he gets the nomination, black interest will be placed at the back of the line. At least with Biden and Steyer black people can hold their feet to the fire to extract specific goals. I have no confidence Sanders would make any efforts to address systemic racism head on. At all. If he wins the nomination of course I’m supporting, but Sanders has continued to turn himself in knots to not make any specific policy goals related to black people during this campaign.
