That's wrong at the most basic level.

He ran for mayor as a Republican in 2001 and served his first two terms as a Republican before switching to an Independent for his third term.
He was a dem.
Then a republican.
Then an independent.
Then a dem again.

People can switch parties. That's not the criticism Bernie faces.

It's that he want to criticize and reform a party he's nor a part of. If he doesn't win the nom he will go back to being an independent and criticizing a dem party he only wants to be a part of to push his own presidential ambition and nothing else.

So in essence what we're saying is black people are stupid and getting persuaded only by ads. This jives with our narratives more than our favorite candidates haven't excited the African American base?

classic bad faith gas lighting. Moving from “people need to be informed” to “black people are stupid” :pachaha:

Nope.

The typical American voter is low information and is getting persuaded by ads. But you can continue a bad-faith argument.

Breh, he was a Dem for exactly none of the time he was in office. :russ:

Bernie has a 40-year history of voting with the Dems, caucusing with the Dems, serving in Senate positions alongside the Dems, and running as a Dem for national office. He has endorsed a ton of Democrats and materially helped their campaigns, and he has received the endorsement of a ton of Democrats.

Bloomberg has a history of occasionally having a "D" next to his name on his voter registration while he changed up his party damn near every time he ran. As someone pointed out he STILL donates to Republican candidates. You think for a moment that Bernie has ever done that?

Name one thing Bloomberg has ever done for the Democratic Party that Bernie hasn't. Having the D on his registration form at a time when he wasn't even in office doesn't cut it.

Sure, but his policies pretty much fall in line with moderate dems even when he was a republican.

But that's neither here nor there.

Does bloomberg consider himself a Democrat?
Does Bernie consider himself a Democrat?

I guess this is the point where y'all pretend like y'all haven't said y'all hate the Democratic party, wish the party would collapse, and are only registered democrats when you have to participate in a closed primary to vote for Bernie and then immediately switch your party affiliation back.

Pardon me if I don't take y'all seriously with this current line of argument.
