that's a small percentage of the population that will be negatively impacted, unfortunately.

At my job I pay $160 a month for just myself (actually, verify that your payment isn't bi-weekly instead of monthly cause your deal sounds too good to be true).

Average premium costs for a family is $1500+ per month

How Much Does Health Insurance Cost?
no, it's monthly, we're paid monthly. and i know i have good coverage from my employer. that said, it's a true no sell for me to increase my cost of medical by 10x, especially knowing how hard i get hit with taxes in general due to my position. i already pay a lot more into the system than what i get back while also not qualifying for any fukking tax credits , telling me to add even more for medical care is :francis:

the co pays for the kid should cover preventive care visits, i never went to the ER as a kid, but even with your #'s, my estimate could double to 4k and that's still less than the $7k M4A is asking for. this plan penalizes high COL residents IMO, the fed government looks at income as all the same when asking someone for $3k more a year in Alabama might be more doable than asking that from someone in Cali
Every policy penalizes is. That’s nothing new. Look at Obama raising taxes in 2014. It just is what it is.

yep, but there's a difference between people playing with fed tax rates, something we're used to seeing change vs. adding a 4% (or ~doubling the MC) tax for a particular line item they can easily compare current costs

that payment schedule is a no for me unless we're forcing employers to absorb a big chunk of that

Why should the middle class bear more of a tax burden than they already do?

I work for myself and pay for my own insurance it's far less than the 6-10k proposed but I'm sure people who have employers that pay for their health insurance or a portion of it won't be regaining that lost money/benefit.

In general though why should the middle class carry anymore of the tax burden? It's inexcusable when we look at wealth inequality and current tax rates across the board.

I mean, I’m not a fan of it either tbh. I’m just saying that I’m not surprised. I also don’t think that those are official numbers. It is one of the proposal for paying for it. The other is a 7.5 percent tax on employers. Bernie actually hasn’t said which one he favors yet. He will probably go with a combination.

Terrible tweet it's a math game she has zero chance in SC, she raised the 2nd highest and have spent the least she will be fine until at least super tuesday. She will be 3rd in delegates at best in sc regardless of what she spends
While I agree, she needs to go first or second soon and Nevada is up next. Cancelling ads in Nevada regardless of her inability to win SC is not good. She can't go into Super Tuesday as a clear third in all four of the pre-Super Tuesday states because she's not gonna motivate voters to choose her when she's down 30-40 delegates.
