Whoa..have we already conceded Bernie win the primary :ohhh:
The corporate wing can't unify around any of the other candidates, and none of them have any message other than "Bernie bros are mean to me," so I think it's a wrap for them as far as votes go. I still think the DNC is going to pick one of them at the convention and lose to Trump in a landslide in November. They're more than happy to blame their loss on the left/black people/Russia/etc. and keep those corporate donations rolling in another 4 years.

Wondering out loud if Bernie sent out a memo. We can't win in the general with this shyt. Now his surrogates going around tempering expectations :mjpls:
If he did its smart. Hypocritical but smart.

Also, it's not a coincidence they waited until Warren was out the paint to start doing this.

Tammy would be a good choice for any of the men running but...

Her seat would sit empty until an election could occur 62-77 days after order of a special election.

Let me discuss all the current Senators I do not want to be VP or cabinet members due to shytty vacancy laws:

Sinema (AZ R governor appointment)
Shaheen or Hassan (NH R governor appointment)
Sherrod Brown (OH R governor appointment)
Manchin (WV R governor appointment)
Warren or Markey (special election - interim appointed by MA R governor)
Baldwin (special election in a swing state - stays vacant in the interim)
Bernie or Leahy (special election - interim appointed by VT R governor)
Wyden or Merkley (special election - stays vacant in the interim)

Like I think the Democrats win the presidency but the Senate is very precarious. Interim Republicans or vacancies could screw up our first 100 days, easily.

I agree, the Senate is the most important thing, which is the main reason why I'm undecided.

I'll vote for whoever I think will have the best downballot effect as far as getting other Dems elected, because no Dem is getting anything of significance through McConnell. You can have the best plans in the world but it's no use if you're a lame duck the moment you step into office because the other party holds the Senate.

Where have I heard AOC's line of thinking before? :whoo:

“The worst-case scenario? We compromise deeply and we end up getting a public option. Is that a nightmare? I don’t think so,” she said.

Ocasio-Cortez stressed that just getting a public option for health care wasn’t the left’s ultimate goal. But she also said she wasn’t here to railroad other members with differing viewpoints on health care ― she just thinks it helps to have a president who has a more ambitious platform than Congress so that Democrats could stretch what’s possible.

Oh that's right, it's what I've been trying to explain to Warren G's for months now...

Bernie supporters are not a monolith and the majority of his supporters understand how tough the fight is going to be just to get legislation passed let alone implemented. The vast majority of critiques on Warren's plan that I saw fell to it either being disingenuous (because passing a public option followed immediately by M4A is an obvious pipe dream) or bad strategy (you don't give away the compromise position before you even begin a negotiation). Both positions are pretty well grounded and fairly common among Sanders supporters when you engage them for clarification.

I
- And I'm still looking at using M4A as the initial goal as the best way to leverage bigger compromises out of centrist dems and potentially republicans too but for the Republicans it's more of an, "if everything falls exactly right" scenario than something I count on.

I will admit that I'm really disappointed on the M4A tip. Like you said, I think she showed her hand and hurt her leverage with how she did this. I'd have been cool if we found out that she'd set a Public Option as the line in the sand where she'd compromise but extract concessions in other aspects of her policy or something like that. But you're right, at this point it's wait and see how things unfold. 2024 feels far away but the infrastructure to create progressive success stories and the enthusiasm to run and build seems like it's developing rapidly. We just can't have that enthusiasm squandered (Warren or Bernie has to win).

Finding a VP for Bernie is tough AF
Warren seems like an easy choice for me. But, I don't know if the fact she is trying to make herself distinct from Bernie Sanders by attacking him (Tbh, shes still being pretty easy on him imo and we've had worse primaries) which I think is an attempt to draw the difference between the two since they share the same lane in some way, is going to make it end with a lot of bad blood between them. Hopefully not.

I feel bad for people who wasted their money on warren campaign

All thats left of her and her fans existence is attacking bernie. I thought her donors would be disappointed in Warren abandoning her presidential ambitions to focus on sabatoge but it looks like thats all yall wanted too.

Oh well. Thank god voters see through that reptile

For the people supporting candidates who are actually trying to win an election

I still want that ticket and the idea they floated of having her be secretary or treasury simultaneously. They do and always have complimented each other on policy.

She looked disappointed af to me, almost sad.
The comments in that video

"When people show you who they truly are, believe them! ...Liz broke my heart too!"

"When she didn't stand up for Bernie is when she stopped being my hero"

"I miss the old Elizabeth Warren. She broke my heart with how she has been dishonest, especially against Sanders"

Weren't people a few pages ago saying her voters jumped ship because of her backing M4all and not her reptilian actions???? Spent the last few pages beating that poor strawman to death

Why can't liz or her fans stop lying?
These Lying Lizbos wont let up, this is harassment :picard: someone call the press
