Every other campaign has now abandoned real issues and is 24/7 talking about Bernie Sanders. The result:

Keep it up. :sas1:

bernie winning in places like nevada and texas is pretty crazy :ehh: cant say i would have seen that. his campaign really might be the one that takes it

convention fukkery though :snoop:

i feel like there's no outcome of a brokered convention that doesnt completely fracture the party :laff:

Great segment on M4A, really highlights that it’s what we need.

My friend Yasmine is a DNC member and therefore a superdelegate

She reveals here Bloomberg called her in December. They're trying to buy superdelegates for a brokered convention :damn:

start at 38:20

Frustrating but not really surprising. I've got two separate trains of thought on this.

1. The biggest question is will the super delegates decide on a candidate other than the one who wins the most delegates. There's no actual precedent for that happening and I'm thinking that if Sanders or any other candidate for that matter has a decisive lead, then they won't have the cover necessary to start this time around. So I want to see what Super Tuesday looks like before I really get nervous about the super delegate strategy turning ugly. If Bernie wins as many states and delegates as places like 538 are projecting, then I just don't think anyone would disrupt the will of the people. That said, he's gotta have a significant lead. Right now he's projected to have more than double the next person's delegates according 538...he needs a comfortable margin like that.

2. I'm also thinking this could fall into norms of campaign strategy. Well before December we reading about candidates courting the super delegates. So that gives me the thought that 1) the rest of the field have been courting this delegates well before Bloomberg and could have a head up on anyone who isn't just a "for sale" vote; and 2) because of that, I'm hopeful that similar to the rest of the delegates, these guys end up scattered which would make consolidating behind a Bloomberg much more difficult.

This is a throwback to other campaigns taking steps and acknowledging that they have the Super Delegates in mind and as part of their strategies. You couldn't pick a more blatant "democracy is for sale" image than Michael Bloomberg taking a contested convention after Bernie showed up with the most delegates via election. Not unless it's a very narrow margin between Bernie and Bloomberg.

I just don’t get why these campaigns that claim they’re the ones that can beat Trump are literally wasting their time and energy on tattling on Bernie supporters. Like...not only is it not working but his rise in the polls is kinda sorta hand in hand with this media and primary bytchassness
People that work on these campaigns are younger than you think and aren’t that experienced at life outside of the political bubble. They are idiots.

It’s the same thing that put Trump over.

Next debate is going to be viscous. They're about to jump into Bernie's ass with both feet :dame:
and they should. the onslaught he'll face if he wins the primary is

he'll have the entire republican establishment and fox news machine attacking him for being a "socialist", and they'll have the tacit approval of the democratic establishment which won't actually want bernie to beat trump :skip:

Went to a Bernie campaign event recently. Gotta admit that while the attendance was diverse, there was an abundance of doofy incel-ly cacs.

That’s ok though. Doofy incel-ly cacs need healthcare and higher wages too. #NotMeUs

Sounds like his typical supporter on the coli tbh

Did you guys talk policy the whole time or play Magic the Gathering?

When is the next larp?

Shid the next debate is on NBC/MSNBC. So you know what time it is :snoop:

And that Nevada reporter Jon Ralston who made up the bullshid story of Bernie supporters throwing chairs during the 2016 Nevada caucus is moderating :snoop:

It’s gonna be unwatchable. The ABC debate last week and the PBS Newshour/Politico debate in December were the best ones of the cycle.
