Indeed

They say putins goal is to sow discord within the dem party

But by covering the issue the way they have...they are actually furthering what putin wants

The way things are going now it seems like it'll be easy for Russia to tip the election in Trump's favor again. :francis:

That is textbook hypocrisy. You can’t criticize the rich then have three houses and millions of dollars. Do you not know the definition of the word? He doesn’t need any of that to be a politician. Senators make north of $150,000 last time I checked. He could’ve gave all that book money away and lived very comfortable off his government salary and it would’ve been consistent with his message but he WANTED that money like everybody else.
A hypocrite is someone who preaches one thing and does the thing the person preaches against in private. Is Bernie hiding his wealth in tax havens while railing against corporations and billionaires for not paying taxes? No. Is he preaching about how we must support unions while secretly supporting legislation to limit workers rights? No. Is he plotting against Medicare for all while publicly being for it? No. Just because he’s a millionaire doesn’t make him a hypocrite for advocating the policies that he does.

He criticizes the rich every chance he speaks. What are you talking about? Yet he himself is rich. That’s a hypocrite. Google the definition. There’s nothing stopping him from giving back his wealth. He could. Easily. And who the fukk is he to say at which point is too much money? And why is it that this amount is around the amount that he has :jbhmm: When he gets to $10 million is his ideology gonna shift to anything above $10 million is too much :mjlol: Just say you wanna raise taxes and call it a day. Railing against the rich when you’re rich yourself is silly and hypocritical. We all wanna make money. It’s human nature.

It actually makes him more credible, he is promoting higher taxes on himself.
When Bloomy came at him for his few million he should have just compared himself to Bloomy. "Oh, I make a lot of money? What % is my wealth compared to yours?" Or he should have more eloquently pointed out none of his houses are in tax havens."

The people Bernie criticizes aren’t people with 3 million dollars.

This is very dumb. His central point is the plutocrats and oligarchs of the country have rigged the legal system through bribery to allows themselves to expand their wealth at the expense of the environment and the public good; particular the poor and middle class.

I don’t think earning a couple of mil off a book and having 3 houses, 1 where you work, 1 where you live, and 1 where you vacation is inconsistent with his principles at all.

You’re basically saying he’s a hypocrite for being rich which makes no sense unless he was the communist caricature Chris Matthews and MAGA idiots think he is.
I dont understand why these people think we so stupid

Folks really act like its some kind if gotcha that Bernie is a millionaire, like he's subjecting himself to the same wealth tax he's putting on everyone else

In a sane world that would lend MORE credibility to their action but I forgot we have the MSNBC version of brainwashed fox news supporters in here

This is true but it’s not how socialism is attacked in messaging. Republicans attacks socialism as wealth distribution. It doesn’t say only attack those who got rich unfairly it just sets a line and goes from there.

So yeah. It would be easy to paint Bernie as a hypocrite on an exaggeration.

Credibility would be Bernie being able to say on stage I’ve given all my money back to charity. I live off a salary :yeshrug: Now what? That’s a bulletproof defense that would solidify his message. Play stupid though :yeshrug: I don’t need to hear no one telling me making money is evil when they’re not giving up their comfortable lifestyle.

Bernie doesn’t need anymore credibility, he’s spent his entire career fighting for working people and hasn’t changed one iota. He has never taken money from a lobbyist in his entire career. How many politicians can say that? If you or others think he needs more credibility you weren’t going to vote for him to begin with. Literally you can’t find a more authentic politician. So go vote for a billionaire (or someone bankrolled by them) who doesn’t care about you

Uh he is not advocating that rich people give more to charity he is saying they need to be taxed more and their business practices regulated better. Charity is not any part of his platform.
If you are just saying it personally bothers you he is rich while advocating for his policies, who cares really? :yeshrug:
