any democrat who would stay home for bernie because they dont want medicare for all or stock taxes, would have stayed home for warren who was proposing the exact same things :yeshrug:

you sound like a fukkin fool. if you were supporting a moderate, i would understand you questioning bernie. you can't support a fellow far-left progressive while simultaneously condeming bernie running on those things :dahell:

Somehow Van and nap make this point and miss it all at the same time.

The Dems don't know how to pick a candidate. Hence McGovern, Mondale, and Kerry. Now Dems want to pick Pete, Amy, or Biden. :mjlol:

But the Dems didn't pick Bernie. The People picked Bernie. And the Dems are trying to undo that choice. If anyone needs the history lesson, it's the Dems. The Establishment. :umad:

Agreed in theory, but judging by the petty bickering in here, there are some moderates who really like Warren. Her pivoting a bit more to Sanders right to differentiate herself from probably helps with that (the pragmatic progressive with a plan for almost everything).

That said, Harris would be interesting, too. I honestly think that it has to be a woman. It is just a better look if your ticket is predicated on progressivism.
Warren would be great policy wise especially if Bernie takes a dirt nap. But election wise she makes no sense. What does she bring to the table? College educated white women? She's about to get washed again in SC and might lose her home state.

We need a VP that has pull in Pennsylvania, Ohio or Wisconsin.

Is there anyone that's a politician, makes cheese/played football/hunts and is not a total piece of shyt? :bryan:

If Bernie is driving people to come out and vote...why wouldn't downballot Dems get closer?
From the article :

“Donald Trump is going to offer the American people this choice: Do you want to continue building the economy or do you want to lurch toward socialism? And that is a real powerful argument in the Democratic districts that Trump won in 2016.”

But there is far less flexibility for candidates in smaller districts. That has prompted Republicans to celebrate as they look to reclaim ground they lost in 2018 when largely affluent suburbs rebelled against the GOP in a protest of Trump.

“The Democrats’ embrace of socialism is going to cost them their majority — I mean, it’s as simple as that,” said Rep. Tom Emmer (R-Minn.), chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee. “Bernie is about as good a contrast as we could have ever hoped for.”

Republicans want to frame 2020 as socialism vs capitalism.

These people want to remind their constituents that they are not socialists and don't want to raise taxes on the middle class.

Seems fairly reasonable
