the ether

That's a serious post? From a journalist? :what:

I've heard a TON of shyt about Bernie's operation and appearances in California and Texas. As far as I can tell he's been putting more work in those states than anyone and his poll numbers reflect that. But him also trying to compete in Massachusetts and Minnesota must be because he hates women? :dwillhuh:

Bernie Sanders Was Slapped for Supporting Jesse Jackson in ’88

Reverend defends Bernie's record
By Michael Sainato • 02/27/16 10:00am

During the 1988 Democratic Presidential Primaries, Rev. Jesse Jackson emerged as a viable contender for the Democratic nomination against establishment-backed Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis. An ardent supporter of Mr. Jackson’s presidential bid was Bernie Sanders—then mayor of Burlington, Vermont. During a Democratic caucus, Mr. Sanders gave a speech in support of Mr. Jackson while Democrats in the room turned their backs—and, as he walked off stage, a woman slapped him across the face. Mr. Sanders was one of the few elected officials to cross racial lines and openly endorse Mr. Jackson, ultimately helping Mr. Jackson win Vermont against Mr. Dukakis by one delegate in 1988

The entire premise of this tweet is that you can't be both black and progressive.

I'm black and progressive, why would I support cutting HBCU funding? Why would I be stupid enough to believe racist America is a meritocracy?

I thought the point of the tweet was to show that Progressive > Black. Kinda like when Bernie was on the House floor told everyone, very correctly, that the Crime Bill didn't solve or even address the problem with gun and gang violence. And it was gonna do was exacerbate it and throw disproportionately thousands of black people in jail. And he said it was wrong. Then he voted for it anyway, because an amendment was added that heavily penalized domestic abuse toward women. Mind you, that was the whole point of the amendment.

In short, progressives will easily throw you under the bus, for the "greater good".

Fact: Warren supporters are TWICE as likely to vote for Trump than Bernie supporters. Wow.

All that talk about how we've just got to beat Trump but it turns out a sizeable portion of Warren, Biden, and Bootyjudge supporters WILL VOTE FOR TRUMP.

Amazing. :martin:
