Why did they blitz?
Stafford is statistically the best rated QB against the blitz this year -
Stafford’s Positive Play Rate of 59.5% against the blitz is the NFL’s best — Patrick Mahomes ranks second at 58.0%.
And this was evident against the Cards in their opening playoff game -
Blitzing him at that point was basically throwing the game away .
Why did they blitz?

It was an Arians call, same one he made when he was in Arizona against Rodgers. As a QB guy Bruce hates prevent defense in those situations, he wants the QB back pedaling under duress.

People don't realize how nicely built that Bengals team is. They just wanna pay attention to Burrow and Chase but that defense is built right. Got good players at every level, their CBs are trash but they got good safeties. Can pressure with 4.
Wouldn't surprise me if they snuck away with the W at all.

i got no problems with the current MNF crew.
They aren’t bad, but they don’t have any pizazz either.

If nothing else they’re a testament of if you draft well you can turn your franchise around quickly.
And have three straight years drafting in or close to the top 10.
