I'm going to say the Broncos pay him. I think the backlash would be overwhelming if they don't.

Why would it be overwhelming? That's the NFLPA's responsibility to inform their players of the liabilities, not the teams. He was there, listened to the NFLPA and left, then got injured outside of team activities.

If anything, this should be a learning lesson to those dudes and why they need to show up to team workouts or at least get insurance in case of these type of situations.

His anger and ire should be at the NFLPA who fukked him over and not Denver.

this is exactly what the owners needed to scare the players back into ota's though

and the broncos aren't gonna be too broken up about getting out of that contract

mahomes shouldn't have to ask for this basic info on twitter

Wherever nikkas need to be told on

Sounds like he fukked himself. If you got this in your contract why are you even stepping foot in a private gym. I wouldn’t take a drink of water in a private gym knowing I could lose my salary if I get hurt. The NFLPA is weak for negotiating this but how do you put yourself in this position knowing the risks? :mindblown:
Edit: he was following advice from the NFLPA?? :mindblown::mindblown:

Because if you don't work out and grind on your own you're going to be a scrub.

Most NFL players say team training is a formality, they expect that you remained in shape all offseason with your personal trainer. Imagine take 5-6 months off without working out and then trying to work out with a team for a month and trying to compete with the most elite athletes in the world.

Mahomes should already know that's part of the contract after he was playing basketball that one offseason and the Chiefs basically told him to shut that down.
Broncos have a way to get out of a contract they don't want on their books. If Jones was a valuable player, the Broncos would more than likely pay his salary even though they don't have to. The Ravens did that with Suggs.
