Yeah The offensive line is looking like a disaster.

He’s not gonna have cheap cap hits anymore starting in 2021

Hill and Kelce gonna want big pay days at like 20 million per year each.

And we haven’t talked about the defense which got torched in the Super Bowl

Yeah there in cap hell and that’s with getting Hill at a deal for being a scumbag off the field

Also Kelce is 32 how many years of his prime does he have left? Not many

It's crazy how much you have to capitalize when your qb is on their rookie deal
Colts haven’t SNIFFED a playoff run since Luck got them to the AFC championship game on his rookie contract. I think Seattle is the same with Russ taking them all the way both times on his rookie and Marshawns back

Pagano and Grigson staying put after that ‘15 season will remain one of the biggest WTF moments to me.

I’ll always appreciate Luck and I may sound like an ungrateful Colts fan here but that playoff run was so ass. Moving past an injured Bengals team in the Wild Card Round and beating the corpse of Peyton Manning in the Divisional didn’t exactly inspire confidence in beating a well-oiled Pats team in the AFCCG. The end result sure wasn’t shocking.

Seattle dropped out of that top echelon once the LOB disbanded. Russ is an amazing QB but they haven’t been the same since.

Miami Hurricanes,Dallas Cowboys, St. John's, DMV
Mahomes for the first time will feel how every other franchise QB feels with holes all over the offense.

He walked onto a team that was already a 2 seed and had the best TE and WR in the league and good oline

He did the job tho. Got one and lost another. Can't be mad at that.

But yes, life is about to get different for him for at least a year. I'm sure he'll still win and put up numbers, but the team will be vastly different now

At least y'all did not have to go through "7-9 Purgatory" like we did. :mjcry:

That was the last time Brees was a consistent threat at passing on ALL levels. :francis:

By the time we got out of it in 2017, the :flabbynsick:ness took over him, and we were no longer a true contender in the postseason. :snoop:

Sidenote: 2018 was pretty much a "last hurrah" for him (like :smugfavre: in 2009), and we all witnessed how THAT ended. :pacspit:

They're hamstrung by Pete too

Pete needs an elite defense and rb to work
Doesn't require an elite qb, just a qb that don't turn the ball over and comes up big a few times in the 4th

The issue is nobody wins like that anymore, and if you do catch lightning in a bottle for a season with an elite defense (2015 Broncos, 2017 Jags & Vikes, 2018 Bears, etc) it's never sustainable. The rules handcuff you too much on that side to still try and win like it's 2001.

There's a reason LOB and Marshawn in their prime still only won 7 games the year before Russ got there.

Yeah I agree it was a perfect storm, and the game is past that way of winning, especially w pete's style of offense

All the Jags had to do was NOT pay bummy ass Bortles and they’ve would’ve contended at least another 2 years :dead:
