Sadly, I don’t think there will ever be an arms embargo because you will have Congress rush to DC and pass a bill with a veto proof majority to override whatever the president wants to do. That’s getting lost in the sauce here.

Everyone just memory holed that Biden more or less tried to do a temporary arms embargo when Israel invaded Rafah and got so much backlash from Congress for doing it he relented immediately. The political inertia is so strong.

AIPAC and its friends can get 67 U.S. Senators and 290 U.S. House Reps to provide the veto proof majority to compel a POTUS to continue arms.

And the GOP can always go to the 5th circuit to get injunctions.
