I’ve been saying this since New England vs Seattle. There should be a psychological profile of coaches who don’t run the ball up the middle on the goal line. I’ve seen it too many times to believe it’s not a mental disorder over taking them in the moment.

Crazy play call. Pitch out of the pistol so RB isn’t even able to get outside leverage. OSU DE’s in outside technique so the crack back block ain’t even doing anything. OSU runs a man in before the snap so Texas doesn’t even have a numbers advantage and he’s in man so whatever action he’s going downhill regardless.

You can certainly run a sweep on the goal line - New England used to do it all-the time - not out of that formation and against a wide man defense.
