There are already numerous studies and analyses about White conservatives/Republicans (the main reasons are bigotry and greed).

Anyway, White Democrats on average are much more left-leaning than Black Democrats. Black voters (particularly those in the Gen X and Boomer cohorts) are probably the biggest supporters of centrist Dems. I wish that more Black voters would support Dems like Elizabeth Warren rather than Andrew Cuomo types.

Warren-like Dems are progressive but pragmatic. They aren't milquetoast centrists, but they also aren't far-left crazies/activists either. I consider myself a pragmatic progressive.

But usually we just have white progressives ignore them or tell them what they need (because they are educated elites that have all the answers), and then get mad when they don’t get their vote. They are they base of the party, if you want to win, act like it. Although I said it in jest, it is true that blaming black people when they don’t get what they want is something the left and right can agree on.
