There really isn’t—which is why Democrats keep losing elections they shouldn’t be losing. Local election governance is just as important, if not more so, than national governance. Much of the voting public feels the way they do about Democrats largely because of the corrupt nature of neoliberal civil government.

These developments are not surprising. It is absolutely true that corporate Dems would prefer a republican (even Trump himself) to a Democratic Socialist.

Look at what happened in the UK when Jeremy Corbyn was Labour leader. Most Labour MPs wanted to lose the election so that Corbyn would not become PM.

I am convinced that if Bernie Sanders had become Dem nominee in 2020, a majority of Dem politicians would have either sat out the race and refused to endorse anyone (while working behind the scenes to help defeat Sanders) or outright endorsed a third-party candidate.
