The last time a 2010s era guy made a conference finals, was LeBron and Davis with the Lakers in 2023; these last time a 2010s era guy won a title was Steph with the Warriors in '22...

If you count Jimmy as a 2010s guy, which is fair because of his age, a 2010s guy last made a Finals in '23. Jimmy is an "in between" guy because he's the age of the 10s guys but his career peaked in the 2020s...

At any rate you could say the 2010s group ended with their last hurrah in 2023, but regardless, even if you end em at 2025, I agree with you, these guys are cooked now and the 2020s guys official own The League...

Haliburton and Ant back in consecutive conference finals, two guys who are clear 2020s guys...

This is wonderful for the NBA. The 2010s guys, every single one you named, gave us a ton of memories. Its so time for The League to move on though, and that's the natural order of progression. Not a single one of those guys is at peak anynore; not a single one of those guys, even at full health, impact the game the way they used to...

I'm happy for the NBA!

These old mf's refuse to fukking retire 🤣 next step is just watching all these guys begin retiring, so we can appreciate what they all gave to us for so many years...

Beginning next year, here's where all these old mf's are at:

Year 23 (LeBron)
Year 21 (CP3)
Year 19 (Durant)
Year 18 (Russ)
Year 17 (Steph, Harden)
Year 16 (PG)
Year 15 (Kawhi, Butler, Kyrie, Klay)
Year 14 (Davis, Dame, Dray)

I been ready for these guys to go for awhile now. Like I said, while many of these guys still play at a respectably high level, NONE of them can reach the level that they used to. I'm ready for these mf's to start retiring. Free some roster space for the next generation of guys...

I don’t know it was a good era of basketball. Them all still being around is a testament to modern medicine and training techniques. Only Wade and Melo from that era is gone and in both their cases they probably could still be on a bench somewhere if they was ok in Mentor/bench roles.

2020 for sure right???

He won the chip in 19 tho
He won the title in '21. Won his first MVP in the 10s ('19), second MVP in the 20s ('20)...

Is Giannis a 2010 guy or a 2020’s guy?
I consider him a 20s guys because his career peaked in this era. He didn't become a relevant name until right at the end of the 10s---->but he's been a relevant name (and in my opinion the second greatest player of the 20s so far), the entire 2020s...

It was an OUTSTANDING era of basketball. I'll always remember the 2010s fondly; on a personal level its the first decade of my life as a full adult (I was 20 years old on 1/1/2010, and was 30 years old on 12/31/2019)...

So for that alone, on a personal level I have so many significant life moments attached to the 2010s...

And because of that I have great memories of sports of that era, the sports of that time tied to my 20s and young adulthood...

fukking awesome era of basketball. And yeah these guys' longevity speaks to modern medicine and training...

But its time to move on and I'm ready for these guys to go. One drawback is continuing to have to watch guys play, who I can remember clearly used to be able to hit another notch, and they just cannot anymore. I dont really like watching that aspect of em when I know just how awesome they used to be. So go ahead and retire and leave this shyt to the guys who right now can hit those super high peaks!
