the Dems should throw a few bucks at Colin Allred for senate, breh deserves one more shot at that. keep republicans on their toes in texas

paxton is a crook, a scumbag, and a huge fakkit. he could be vulnerable in a "trump is fukking everything up" 2026

yeah, i wouldn't be betting on him winning :yeshrug: but i think it's good for the Dems to put up a good showing in texas. if the claims about it "getting bluer" are true

or maybe someone else. Beto is :flabbynsick:

plus, Cornyn and Paxton are gonna rip each other apart. there's gonna be more than a few republicans who won't want to vote for the other guy, when it's over :mjlol:

Beto was the once in a generation candidate. Straight out of central casting, spoke spanish, generational Texan, youth in the palm of his hand....but he jumped off the deep end towards the end of that campaign.

He did an interview recently where they asked him if he regretted publicly voicing his off-center views about guns/immigration down the stretch of that campaign ("hell yes we're going to take your ar15"/"border is safe, it's secure") and he said "no". Interviewer pushed back about how Republicans are willing to distance themselves from unpopular policies while privately still supporting them all for the sake of power (Trump and Project 2025) , and he still said 'no, he'd rather lose than compromise his values'. :francis:

Too many Texans are on Civil War time and Hispanics seem to be heading the way of Italian Americans. I wish Beto was from a more purple state like Wisconsin. He'd be a lifetime senator/governor.
