I read that Maine voters re-elected Collins in 2020 because they believe in the BS facade of her being a "moderate, anti-Trump Republican" and that she's a "lifelong Mainer that gives back to the state".

You want to know why this exist ? Because democrat leaders wanted to court never trump republicans and by separating the cheneys Susan Collins etc from the maga in hopes to getting less than 1 % of the vote total.

That's literally democrats job to demonize all Republicans and they refuse to do so due to 1990s bipartisanship politics . See this is where I disagree with you, you pointing to one specific election cycle year to say democrats did their job and blaming low propensity voters for not coming through. What about 2014 15 16 etc, democrats should be on the attack monthly daily demonizing republicans as the insane corrupt heretics that they're.
