This is a weird take, considering Im not a fan of hers. And it's gonna sound a little crazy.

Anyway as far as Crockett she won't win simply due to the fact theirs much more republicans in Texas than democrats. Like allred before her she can be competitive but wasting money on that state instead of winnable states will be bad investments. Like Florida to win Texas you need the state party to do a better job in registering democrats, both states gave some of the worst local ran politics that need investments outside of midterms and generals.

Talarico sounds like a standard politician (at least in the clips that I've seen). In my opinion, to win states like Texas or Florida, you need people who dont seem like everyone else in DC.

And they need to run against the parties. It's less about where there are on the left/right continuum than that they are running against the status quo.

To me, it seems like Talarico says all the right words, but doesn't get the affectation right.

Don’t get me wrong. He’s a goofy looking wolf on Wall Street extra looking ass nikka but he’s been wrapping religion around his policies (ie God wouldn’t want us to treat ___ like this) which should win him some Texas people and he’s a white man which should win him some Texas people. That automatically has him beating Allred and jasmine. If the crazy MAGA nut wins the GQP primary who knows their best shot was Beto, and I know me and @AnonymityX1000 will never get over his loss

She represents a lot of what's wrong with the party. Blatant pandering to a very specific racia/gender demographic, to the point of caricature. All she does is tow the party line while doing nothing of substance either. And the fact that she NOW decided to talk normal tells you everything you need to know. It's all a fraud.

She’s extremely eloquent, which is why this whole “act” she’s doing is so off putting. She doesn’t realize how talented she is, and it’s a shame.

Talarico comes off as a fraud to me because im immune to the religious pivot pandering but if it works, then that means I really need to reassess my understanding of left-leaning religiosity.

Also, he’s white and isn’t some college-effectual lib like Beto was.

There is like half a million more registered Dems than Repubs in Texas.

People in Texas do not vote. That’s always been the problem.
